2015 a grand success
It’s been a whirlwind year of growth and excitement for Rodrock Development. After all, how often does a development company get to exceed home sales projections, add another five astounding communities, partner with Sporting KC and more?
“We’re definitely trying to catch our breaths as this year ends, but in the best way possible,” said Brenda Sanders, president of Rodrock & Associates, Realtors. “We still have home sales rolling in, even in this slower season, and we’ve well exceeded our sales projections for 2015. And we’re gearing up for a very busy 2016, with five new communities coming online.”
Among these new neighborhoods are Arbor Lake and Arbor Woods, both of which have homes already under construction.
“Located at Prairie Star Parkway and Clare Road in Lenexa, Arbor Lake has its first plat home sites available now with future plats featuring our lake,” said longtime Rodrock marketing agent Ann Knickrehm. “The pool and amenities will be in place next summer. Home sites range from the low $60,000s to the mid $80,000s, which is a great value for the area.”
Some of Kansas City’s top builders will showcase their finest designs in Arbor Lake, including James Engle Custom Homes, Reilly Homes, Darol Rodrock Homes and Rob Washam Homes. Homes are priced from the mid-$300,000s to $400,000s in two-story, 1 1/2-story and reverse 1 1/2-story plans, many offering breathtaking views of sunsets, lakes, trees, wildlife and parks.
Meanwhile, Olathe’s Arbor Woods boasts a number of beautiful abodes by highly respected Chris George Homes and Gabriel Homes Construction. Located at Canyon Drive and 125th Terrace, Arbor Woods is within walking distance to Forest View Elementary and has a number of incredible walkout lots.
“You can also see Mission Trail Middle School from our home sites, which are located close to the new Olathe West High School, slated to open in fall 2017,” said Sanders. “Homes will be priced in the low to upper $300,000s.”
Persimmon Hill, also in Olathe, will have Prieb Homes as its exclusive builder, with some 33 home sites. The homes will range from the upper $200,000s to lower $300,000s and range in size from 2,200 to 2,500 square feet.
Next, nestled at 183rd and Quivira, is Riverstone. With approximately 200 home sites, this new community will offer some truly lovely walkout lots along city park ground. And as with most Rodrock Developments, the community will be laden with impressive amenities, including a clubhouse and pool/cabana area. Lots will be available this summer.
Last, but most definitely not least, is Sundance Ridge at 175th and Kenneth Road. “Darol (Rodrock) has painstakingly planned a community like no other,” said Sanders. “We’re slated to have three communities within Sundance Ridge, a large clubhouse with two pools, and a state-of-the art playground. But Darol didn’t stop there. Instead, he has plans to include an incredible number of extras for this community, including a greenhouse, camping grounds, gazebo, paved trails and more! As well, he’s setting aside land for a Blue Valley Elementary school in the community.”
Such careful planning is found in all of Rodrock’s communities. Full of family-friendly amenities, community-building events and countless other added extras, his communities resonate deeply with homeowners, who aren’t just looking for a house but rather a true home. And that’s why this year has been such a banner one for Rodrock Development.
“I’m proud to be a part of such an amazing organization and thankful for the opportunity to represent the Forest View community, which continually exceeds expectations,” said longtime Rodrock marketing agent Bruce Stout. “From the overall design of the community through working with the finest home builders in the metro, we have the pleasure of welcoming new neighbors daily. 2015 sales exceeded our goals, and with the upcoming release of new lots in both The Hills and Estates areas, we’re excited to surpass those goals even further in 2016!”
New growth is also underway in the popular Stonebridge Trails neighborhood in Olathe. “What a year!” exclaimed Rodrock marketing agent Joan Jacquin. “The Trails had so much traffic all year, our builders won awards at the Parade of Homes, and we have so, so many happy homeowners! We sold a record number of homes and are in the process of having four new models built. We also have another new phase that just opened and four home sites have already been reserved.”
“I can’t express how excited I am about the New Year,” Jacquin added. “The buyers, and, of course, our residents love the lights at Christmas, the party with Santa, and all the extra things Darol does to make this a ‘stand out’ place to live. But most of all, they adore the wonderful care that is part and parcel of living within a Rodrock Community.”
