Now that 2014 is drawing to a close, it’s time to look ahead to next year. And if your 2015 goals include finding your dream home, don’t fret — your search is over, thanks to Cedar Creek.

The building team has homes in progress throughout the community, especially in The Crossings at Southglen, Cedar Creek’s newest neighborhood, one that’s been especially popular thanks to appealing price points and an ideal location that’s a short walk away from Cedar Creek Elementary School. A second phase of home sites is available for reservations, giving prospective homeowners a selection of daylight, walkout and flat locations.

Several model homes are available to tour, too, giving prospective homeowners a chance to see the latest floor plans and designs from several members of the community’s renowned building team, including Rodrock Homes, Meridian Homes, James Engle Custom Homes, Roeser Homes and Tabernacle Homes.

Additionally, several spec homes are available in various stages of completion ranging from immediate to 90 days. Prices range from the upper $300,000s to the mid-$400,000s, and available inventory includes floor plans from Rodrock Homes, Meridian Homes, Roeser Homes, James Engle Custom Homes and Tabernacle Homes.

Elsewhere throughout Cedar Creek, a number of speculative homes are in various stages of construction, giving prospective homeowners the flexibility to accommodate a range of move-in timelines. Several homes are available in the Woods of Southglen, including plans by LDH Construction, Tim Hoelting Homes, Roeser Homes, Tabernacle Homes, KC Building Co. and Don Julian Builders. Current speculative home prices range from the upper $400,000s to more than $600,000.

In luxurious North Shore Estates, which offers proximity to the rippling waters of the 65-acre Shadow Lake, Don Julian Builders has a four-bedroom, 11/2-story custom floor plan with a three-car side-entry garage priced at $859,900.

And in Shadow Highlands, Roeser Homes is working on a spacious four-bedroom, 31/2-bathroom Carter floor plan that offers a generous 3,204 square feet of living space and is priced at $566,306.

Prospective homeowners can also follow in Matt and Rachelle Hirsch’s footsteps and work with one of Cedar Creek’s celebrated builders (in their case, LDH Construction) to create a custom-built home on a selection of home sites available throughout the community.

Although the quality-built homes are undoubtedly the center of attention at Cedar Creek, the community’s impressive array of amenities is a close second. “We’ve made dear lifetime friends here,” Rhonda said. “The people have just been amazing — it’s a great place to call home.”

Cedar Creek is served by the Olathe School District, including Olathe Northwest High School, Mission Trail Junior High School, and Cedar Creek Elementary School. The community is also near St. James Academy, a Catholic high school.
