Developer reveals some serious winners
November is drawing to a close, and it’s been a month of some serious excitement at Rodrock Development. Not only is the developer able to announce the winner of its Cutest Kid Halloween Photo Contest — and award $1,000 dollars — but it also has some winning houses coming onto the market, culminating in some incredible inventory offerings, complete with several builder incentive specials.
For starters, this year’s Cutest Kid Halloween Photo Contest was an amazingly fun experience. In partnership with the Rodrock Development Moms’ Council and The Kansas City Star, this year’s third annual contest netted 154 adorable photos and some 931 votes.
“Yoshi and Mario in their Mario Karts” blew both online voters and our panel of judges away. Hunter dressed as Yoshi, driving the Piranha Prowler Mario Kart, while his brother Cody dressed as Mario, driving the Wild Wing Mario Kart.
The brothers love their video-game characters, said their mom, Stacie. The family worked on these clever costumes for about two weeks. “It’s the boys’ choice every year as to what they want to be and whether or not they incorporate their wheelchairs in their costumes,” she said.
And, she said, the $1,000 grand prize will serve this family well. “The money will help us stock up on the boys’ specialty medical vitamins and supplements. We actually need a new baby monitor to watch them at night, too, so the money will be put to good use. Also, we’re trying to save up to build a wheelchair-accessible home, so this will let us put a little more in savings to hopefully one day build a home for the boys.”
Rodrock Development wants to thank all who shared their fantastic and frightful Halloween photos, as well as all those who voted online. They said they may well be the true winners here, getting to enjoy all your favorite holiday shots.
Still, homebuyers also have the potential to win big — and before the holidays, no less. There’s been an exciting number of new homes nearing completion in several Rodrock Developments, meaning some very lucky homeowners could score a beautiful new home in time for the holidays.
In Olathe’s Forest View, five properties are deliverable within 30 days, including the Preston Ridge IV by Summit Custom Homes. This two-story home invites homebuyers to stretch out on a covered patio and enjoy the massive lot backing to green space — over 20,000 square feet.
Hilmann Home Building’s Fenwick IV has five bedrooms, four full baths and a top-notch cul-de-sac lot, while its Middleton III Expanded boasts more than 2,875 square feet of finished living space, all situated atop the crest of 123rd Terrace cul-de-sac overlooking future home sites and lush green space. Another two beautiful homes — Summit Custom Homes’ Princeton II and Bristol Ridge — are designed with open floor plans and are loaded with the finest of finishes.
In the Greens of Chapel Creek in Shawnee, James III Homes has a true winner in the Aspen III Five. This completely finished five-bedroom, 5 1/2-bath, two-story beauty has a walkout lower level, backing to the new city park. Even better? James III Homes is running a holiday special, gifting the buyer a $5,000 spending spree at Nebraska Furniture Mart.
Shawnee’s Grey Oaks, meanwhile, also boasts the Fenwick IV by Hilmann Home Building, competitively priced at $409,950 and backing to a neighborhood park.
The large Stonebridge community, made up of four neighborhoods in Olathe, has a wide selection of homes at the ready. Stonebridge Park has some 11 homes, ranging from immediate availability into the New Year. Both K.C. Builders and Wynne Homes are offering builder incentive specials through the end of the year in this family-friendly neighborhood.
Stonebridge Meadows boasts some beautiful options as well, including the Charleston by Wynne Homes and the Hawthorne II Expanded Kitchen by Chris George Homes.
“The Charleston is the richly appointed, open plan everyone’s wanting!” said Ann Knickrehm, a longtime Rodrock Development agent. “And the Hawthorne II is a two-story gem with the most amazing kitchen. Whether you want a treed backyard or a covered patio, each is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac and is move-in ready for holiday enjoyment.”
Stonebridge Village, a maintenance-provided community, has three homes ready for anyone who doesn’t want to hassle with snow removal. And, as an added treat, Darol Rodrock Homes is offering a $2,500 Visa Gift Card for a contract received by Jan. 1 on any Stonebridge Village spec. The gift card will be presented upon closing of the house.
Rodrock Development is thrilled to wrap up November on such a victorious note: Offering both winning homes and an impressive $1,000 prize to some absolutely adorable kids. There’s truly so much to be thankful for.
