Leading new-home builder Summit Custom Homes received 11 awards at the Home Builder Association of Greater Kansas City’s Fall Parade of Homes awards ceremony earlier this month, including two honors for the 2015 St. Jude Dream Home at Chapman Farms.

The 4,195-square-foot Dream Home is in The Shores at Chapman Farms in Blue Springs and is a Pick of the Parade Grand Award winner. The two-story home, which features a multigenerational living suite on the main level, is also a second place winner for Distinctive Plan & Design.

With the generous support of local and national sponsors and with help from their network of dedicated trade partners in Kansas City, Summit was able to get all of the labor and materials for the home donated to build a “zero cost” Dream Home for the fourth year in a row.

A zero cost home ensures that 100 percent of profits from the tickets sales from the Dream Home Giveaway go to the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Earlier this month, Summit was one of only two builders nationwide to receive the 2015 Zero Hero Award at the St. Jude Dream Home Builder Summit in Memphis, Tenn., for this achievement. The 2015 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway took place on Oct. 15.

Summit also celebrated a second place award for Distinctive Plan & Design for its new lakeside Bristol Ridge II model next door to the Dream Home in the Shores at Chapman Farms. The two-story Bristol Ridge II model has 3,030 square feet with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a three-car garage. New homes in the Chapman Farms community start from the $280,000s.

During the Parade of Homes, Summit unveiled the first model homes from a brand new collection of floor plans starting from the $260,000s in their latest Summit Exclusive Community, the Manor at Stoney Creek, in Lee’s Summit off County Line Road just west of Pryor Road.

The new two-story Estes Park model is a Runner Up for the Pick of the Parade and also received second place in the Distinctive Plan & Design competition. The Estes Park features three bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms and an upstairs loft space. Summit is currently offering a Grand Opening promotion for the Manor at Stoney Creek, with buyers receiving half off upgrades up to $5,000 with a signed contract to purchase an existing home in the Manor accepted by Oct. 31.

Summit received honors for other home series in the popular Stoney Creek Community, including a first place award for Distinctive Plan & Design for the Palermo model in the Villas of Parkwood, which has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a finished lower level. Also in the Villas, the Ravenna model is a second place winner for Distinctive Plan & Design with five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a finished lower level, currently for sale at $389,950. The Villas of Parkwood features five exclusive luxury floor plans starting from the $290,000s.

Summit celebrated a Pick of the Parade Grand Award win for its model home in High Point at Creekmoor, a Summit Exclusive Community with homes from the $280,000s in Raymore, one of the fastest-growing areas of the metro. The two-story Sterling model features four bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms and over 2,500 square feet of living space.

A Cambridge floor plan with a French Country elevation in the Woodneath Farms community just south of 96th Street between Interstate 435 and Northeast Flintlock Road in Kansas City, Mo., is a first place award winner for Distinctive Plan & Design and a runner up for the Pick of the Parade award.

In Overland Park, another Cambridge floor plan, one of Summit’s most popular floor plans across the metro, is a second place winner for Distinctive Plan & Design. In the popular Wilshire by the Lake community, the award-winning home is currently for sale at $469,950.
