Throughout all of the changes this year at SAB Homes, one thing does remain the same — continued growth. This well-known home builder is expanding to new communities, adding new floor plans and increasing its quality-minded building team to provide even more opportunities for homebuyers.

SAB Homes LLC, owned by Scott Bamesberger, has been building homes throughout the Kansas City area for 25-plus years. The fact that SAB Homes continued to succeed and prosper, even in the lean years brought by the recession, is a testament to Bamesberger’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Every member of the team, and the subcontractors with whom SAB works, are key in its success. A display of trophies from the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City in the company’s Lee’s Summit office is evidence of the high standards and quality for which SAB Homes is known.

As SAB Homes grows, it continues to evolve. Bamesberger works with an architect to develop new plans focusing on what clients want, so the builder has a fresh portfolio reflecting today’s styles. Although some plans remain popular from one year to the next, SAB tweaks them and is always making improvements. SAB Homes often creates plans specifically customized to blend with the style and amenities of a certain subdivision. It’s that commitment to innovation that allows SAB Homes to keep building distinctive, award-wining homes. Usability, creativity and attention to detail are always of utmost consideration.

Little things that set SAB Homes apart are found in how a plan functions. Extra storage is always a consideration. Most plans include a mud bench off the garage entry and many have an office. Where feasible, laundry rooms are connected to the master bedroom. In the kitchen, if the space for the refrigerator can be bumped into the garage, homeowners get the look of a cabinet-depth refrigerator without the extra expense. Kitchens include more drawers for extra storage and ample cabinets, even in smaller floor plans. Some larger homes have laundry hook-ups in multiple locations.

Some of SAB Homes’ floor plans remain popular and are built repeatedly. But each develops its own personality through the selections. Katie Reece, the in-house designer is always looking to bring in new tile, new wood flooring, new granite choices and new paint options.

SAB offers an array of finishes at affordable prices but which look much more expensive, many of which can be seen in the model homes. Some great examples will be featured in the Fall Parade of Homes. In Cider Mill Ridge, the Wildwood model uses a new, extremely durable wood flooring that resists scratches and looks unique and amazing. In this same home, the granite has a brushed finish, which gives it a different look and feel. The model in Siena at Longview is an example of affordable tile that looks expensive. For extra detail, the designer included a “tile rug” in front of the vanities.

Growth also means the addition of new subdivisions.

“The choice of a subdivision is a very important decision and we carefully select subdivisions that offer the lifestyle, the school district and the locations that buyers are seeking. We only choose subdivisions in which we are proud to build,” Bamesberger said. “It’s hard to have just the right subdivision and the right home for each and every buyer, but we can certainly try to offer as many great choices as possible. Two of our newly added subdivisions are Creekmoor and Woodland Trails.”

Creekmoor in Raymore allows residents to live near an award-winning golf course in a resort-style community with a 108-acre lake, as well as hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, fitness center clubhouse and a fantastic community swimming pool. It is in the highly rated Raymore-Peculiar School District.

SAB Homes is building two spec homes in the Westbrook neighborhood in Creekmoor, which winds and curves around the golf course.

Another new subdivision where SAB Homes is now building is Woodland Trails in Greenwood, which boasts extensive landscaping with miles of paved walking trails, four ponds and wildlife found along Big Creek. Located just minutes from Lee’s Summit, residents of Woodland Trails attend the acclaimed Lee’s Summit R7 School District. SAB Homes is building two spec homes currently. Both should be ready by early spring 2016.

You will also find SAB Homes in Canyon Creek by the Lake in Lenexa; Stonebridge Park, Persimmon Pointe and The Greens at Prairie Highlands in Olathe; Woodneath Farms and Fieldstone at Benson Place in Kansas City, North; Cider Mill Ridge at The National in Parkville; Siena at Longview and Winterset Valley in Lee’s Summit; and Timber Ridge in Merriam.

At SAB Homes, growth includes a new website. Scheduled to launch in late October, SAB Homes’ new website is designed to offer easy navigation and lots of large photos. SAB has partnered with a talented group to deliver a new site that is both informative and elegant. The new site will be rich in content and help buyers find the information they need when shopping for a new home, as well as useful information for current homeowners.
