Area home builder Summit Custom Homes announced the roll out of its annual Home for the Holidays sales event this week and it runs through Dec. 31, 2014.

“This year, we’re offering all homebuyers that sign a new contract to purchase one of our move-in ready homes before the end of the year up to $4,000 in closing costs if they meet the additional lending conditions,” said Kevin Stucker, vice president of sales and marketing for Summit Custom Homes.

He added, “In addition, if a buyer chooses from select two-story and one-and-one-half-story inventory, we’ll finish their lower level at a 50 percent savings.” Of course, conditions do apply and potential buyers can learn more by visiting one of Summit’s sales centers or at summitcustomhomeskc.com.

A complete list of finished, move-in ready homes located throughout the Kansas City area that are eligible for up to $4,000 in builder-paid closing costs is available by clicking the “Move-In Ready” tab at summitcustomhomeskc.com. Information is also available by visiting the sales center.

Homes eligible for 50 percent savings on a basement finish are located in the following communities:

▪  In Lee’s Summit at Foxberry Estates, Eagle Creek, Lakeside at Chapman Farms, The Shores at Chapman Farms, Parkwood at Stoney Creek, Fritchie Bluff and Highland Meadows.

▪  In Raymore at Timber Trails, High Point at Creekmoor, Westbrook at Creekmoor and Edgewater at Creekmoor.

▪  In Lenexa at Canyon Creek Highlands, Canyon Creek by the Lake, Canyon Creek by the Park and Falcon Valley.

▪  In Olathe at Persimmon Point and Stonebridge Park.

▪  In Platte City at Seven Bridges.

See the community sales manager in each for more details.

Valerie Rolfes, marketing director for Summit Custom Homes reminds buyers that “Summit only runs the Home for the Holidays promotion once a year and interested buyers should act quickly before these great deals expire.”

Homes included in the promotion include two-story, 11/2-story and ranch-style homes priced from the mid $200,000s to the low $400,000s.

“With interest rates at near record lows and the promise of higher rates to come next year, there’s no better time to take advantage of these specials and get into your new dream home before the end of the year,” Rolfes added.

Summit Custom Homes is known as an energy-efficient green home builder. That means every home it builds includes such standard energy-efficient features as a high efficiency furnace and air conditioning system, digital setback thermostat, R-49 attic insulation, flash foaming where the joists meet the rim and below conditioned living spaces exposed to exterior temperatures, maintenance-free low-E windows, a wind and moisture resistant Tyvek house wrap, and more.

Focusing on creating healthier indoor environments for families, Summit uses low or no VOC (volatile organic compound) paints, glues and sealants; low VOC and recyclable carpets; a passive radon gas venting system; formaldehyde-free insulation products; sealed duct work with centralized returns and a MERV-11 furnace filter, to name a few.

Each standard series home built by Summit is independently tested and reviewed by a third party inspector earning a HERS rating that averages just below 70, making its homes up to twice as efficient as a home built just 10 years ago, and 15 to 30 percent more efficient than required by code.

“We want our homeowners to know that it’s not just us telling you we’re energy efficient, we back it up with an independent verification by a third party rater,” Stucker said.

Summit Custom Homes is also known for its innovative plan design backed up by the seven awards for Distinctive Plan and Design that it recently earned during the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City 2014 Fall Parade of Homes awards ceremony held last month.

“We strive to design homes that live larger than they are, incorporating smart design concepts from around the country in order to deliver our buyers a home beyond their expectations,” Rolfes said.

Some of Summit’s most impressive designs are included on the list of homes eligible for this sales event including the popular Cambridge II two-story, five-bedroom home located in Seven Bridges in Platte City, priced at $399,950; the five-bedroom Preston Ridge IV in Stonebridge Park in Olathe, priced at $359,950; the Cotton Creek IV, a former model home now for sale, located in Canyon Creek by the Lake in Lenexa, priced at $409,950; the four-bedroom Windsor Hills located in High Point at Creekmoor in Raymore, priced at $299,950; the Bristol Ridge 11/2-story located in Timber Trails in Raymore, priced at $264,950; and the award-winning Bristol Ridge located in Highland Meadows in Lee’s Summit priced at $389,950.

“There’s never been a better opportunity to own a Summit home than right now,” said Jodi Palin, director of sales for Summit Custom Homes. “Discounted lower-level finish combined with up to $4,000 in builder paid closing costs is an unbeatable mix of incentives never before offered, so now is the time to act before these deals are gone.”
