Homes selling quickly in Brooks Farm and Parkwood

Parkwood at Stoney Creek and Brooks Farm are two of Lee’s Summit’s hottest selling communities, and both are exclusively built by award-winning builder Summit Custom Homes.

Both communities are directly off of Missouri 150 highway in Lee’s Summit: Brooks Farm just north of Missouri 150 and east of Ward Road, and Parkwood just south of Missouri 150 and west of Ward Road.

“We are really excited to be building in both Parkwood and Brooks Farm,” said Megan Fratzke, marketing manager for Summit Custom Homes. “They are great communities, in the award-winning Lee’s Summit School District, with close proximity to all of the dining, shopping and entertainment needs you could ever want. Plus, great highway access.”

Parkwood at Stoney Creek is currently the best-selling community in Lee’s Summit, with a total of 17 homes, so far, that are set to close in 2014.

Parkwood at Stoney Creek has five homes under construction that will be move-in ready before school starts in the fall, and three homes that are move-in ready. Twenty-one lots are available, as well, for buyers who would like to choose their own lot and home plan combination. Fifteen of those lots are walkout, three are daylight and three are flat.

“There are so many amenities in Parkwood: a pool, a playground and sand volleyball,” said on-site agent, Missy Barron. “Plus, it’s in an excellent location, close to shopping, dining, entertainment and schools.”

At Brooks Farm, the warmer spring weather is having a positive impact on home sales. In the last 30 days, three homes have been marked as either “sold” or “pending” and a total of six have sold since January.

“I’m seeing a lot of traffic, increased sales and just hearing a ton of positive feedback about the homes and overall community,” said on-site agent, Trey Nation. “Now is absolutely the time to buy. I wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on their dream home just because they waited too long.”

In Brooks Farm, three completed, move-in ready homes are for sale, one more is under construction and five more on which Summit Custom Homes is preparing to break ground.

“The variety of homes at different points in the construction process gives you the option to choose a move-in ready home or a home that is ready for your own personal design selections,” Nation said. “There is something for everyone.”

“Summit is offering a variety of different homes at Brooks Farm, which is keeping many different types of people coming back,” Fratzke said. “This area has a lot of life, great neighbors and simply is in an excellent location.”

Children living in Brooks Farm and Parkwood at Stoney Creek attend schools in the award-winning Lee’s Summit School District.

Summit’s focus is on building finely crafted, energy-efficient homes featuring innovative floor plans and luxury standard features, all at an exceptional value. Summit Custom Homes’ Green Build Advantage incorporates the latest building science to deliver significantly increased energy efficiency, rated at up to 30 percent more efficient than other homes. Healthier indoor air quality is achieved by using formaldehyde-free insulation; low or no VOC (volatile organic compound) paints, glues and sealants where available; a passive radon remediation system; sealed air distribution duct work; and a high-particulate MERV-11 furnace filter.

Luxury features set Summit Custom Homes apart from other builders: Among Summit’s standard features are stucco and stone veneer front elevations; wide-plank hardwood flooring in all main-floor traffic areas; island kitchens with custom-made designer cabinetry; rubbed-copper wrought-iron stair spindles; spa master bathrooms with tiled flooring and oversized, tiled, walk-in showers with dual shower heads; premium Delta plumbing fixtures; and stainless steel GE kitchen appliances, to name a few.

“Perhaps the most important factor for buyers to know about these homes is that they feature our proprietary Green Build Advantage program,” said Kevin Stucker, Summit’s vice president of sales and marketing. “We take steps to maximize energy efficiency, protect indoor air quality and incorporate sustainable building practices into every home we build. In addition, every home we build is independently inspected and awarded a HERS rating to document the home’s energy efficiency. Our homes are nearly twice as efficient as homes built just 10 years ago.”
