There’s a home on the Spring Parade of Homes that’s right for everyone

Saturday was the kickoff to the Spring Parade of Homes, presented by the Home Builder’s Association of Greater Kansas City (HBA) and sponsored by Stewart Title.

Highlighting the latest in home design, construction, technology and more, this year’s Parade, which runs through May 11, features 377 single-family homes, townhomes and villas constructed by 109 builders on both sides of the state line.

“We think it’s important that our Parade homes encompass all areas of the Kansas City metro: north, south, east and west,” said Sara Corless, executive vice president of the HBA. “This allows homebuyers to see a wide range of home prices, amenities and locations.”

One builder featured on the Parade this year with homes around the metro is Sallee Homes Inc., a family owned and operated firm with new homes in several area communities, including Canyon Creek in Lenexa, Chapel Hill in Overland Park, Thousand Oaks in Parkville, Grayson Place in Olathe and Hunter’s Ridge in Pleasant Hill, just to name a few.

One of its most notable entries on the Parade is its four-bedroom, 21/2-bathroom, three-car garage model home in the Parkway Estates community in Blue Springs. The Laurelwood plan is an open, inviting, two-story concept priced at $259,950 and perfect for a family on the go.

This model is beautifully furnished with an energetic tangerine and turquoise accent color palette, coupled with stylish furniture hand picked by Sallee’s in-house designer to showcase the latest design trends. Other home highlights include a luxury flooring package, all-house humidifier, upgraded plumbing fixtures throughout and a “silver” home security system.

Another builder featured on the Parade with homes in Overland Park and Olathe is Allure Luxury Homes, a company with nearly 50 years’ experience building homes “where wow meets function.”

One of its entries in Overland Park’s Coffee Creek Crossing community is a five-bedroom, 51/2 bathroom, three-car garage home priced at $639,900. Decorated in a stunning and sophisticated palette of greys and blues, this home features soaring ceilings in the living room and attached sun porch, beautiful stone fireplaces, a first-floor master bedroom and a community pool.

In the Northland, Casa Bella Construction Inc. will be modeling six homes across Kansas City, Parkville and Gladstone.

One of its featured homes is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom, reverse 11/2-story plan priced at $389,900. Located in the coveted Park Hill School District and close to Zona Rosa, this multiple Grand Award-winning plan is an entertainer’s dream with an oversized covered deck with outdoor gas fireplace and built-in for a TV, huge rec room with wet bar, walk-in pantry and more.

To help prospective homebuyers, the HBA has compiled a free Parade Guide book, an online home search tool at

KCParadeofHomes.com

and a mobile website feature where homes can be searched by price, location, builder or subdivision.

Comprising approximately 550 member companies, the HBA represents an industry that supports more than 7,500 jobs in the greater Kansas City area, and for more than 65 years has been working to support the home-building industry and the homebuyers who keep the industry strong. The annual Spring Parade of Homes, Home Show Flower Lawn Garden Show and Fall Parade of Homes all play an integral role in that effort.
