Spring Parade kicks off with a flurry of new construction at Cedar Creek
The Spring Parade of Homes is officially underway, which means the pace of activity is busier than usual at Cedar Creek. The resort-style community’s renowned builder team is hard at work on a number of speculative homes in several of Cedar Creek’s architecturally diverse neighborhoods, which means prospective buyers have numerous choices as they explore the community.
Located in Olathe’s rapidly growing Kansas 10 corridor, Cedar Creek offers residents a complete lifestyle experience that includes resort-style amenities, distinctive neighborhoods and a secluded location that doesn’t sacrifice convenience to nearby services, entertainment and points of interest.
During the Parade of Homes, which runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through May 11, prospective buyers have much to see throughout Cedar Creek. Five model homes are under construction in the community’s newest neighborhood, The Crossings at Southglen.
Elsewhere in the community, Parade attendees can explore new homes being built by Extraordinary Homes in The Reserve at Shadow Lake, Tabernacle Homes in The Links, Don Julian Builders in The Woods at Southglen, Keystone Building Co. in The Villas of Shadow Glen and Roeser Homes in Shadow Highlands.
For prospective homeowners interested in a new home that can accommodate a specific move-in time-line, a number of speculative homes are in progress throughout Cedar Creek. As a result, prospective buyers have the flexibility they need in the price points and home styles they covet.
Located within a short walk of Cedar Creek Elementary School, The Crossings at Southglen features walkout, daylight and flat home sites and is an ideal choice for families eager to experience all that Cedar Creek has to offer. Reservations are now open and home site prices range from $68,000 to $87,500.
Homes are priced from $350,000 to $500,000 and five of Cedar Creek’s renowned builders are not only hard at work on new model homes that will debut this spring, they’ve also got a number of new spec homes underway.

The stylish, eye-catching homes of Cedar Creek are certainly one of the most appealing benefits to living in the community. A close second? An extensive amenities package that includes swimming pools, tennis courts, a lake, a golf course, a fully equipped community center and more.
In addition, Cedar Creek hosts a variety of annual and ongoing events, including a community-wide garage sale and holiday-specific festivities. Other events include a ladies lunch bunch, walking group, yoga and a men’s lunch group, all of which contribute to a heightened sense of community and companionship within Cedar Creek.
The community is tucked away in more than 3,000 acres of rolling terrain, yet the prime Olathe location puts homeowners in the heart of Johnson County and near easy highway access to travel throughout the Kansas City metro area and to Lawrence.
Cedar Creek is served by the Olathe School District, including Olathe Northwest High School, Mission Trail Junior High School, and Cedar Creek Elementary School. The community is also near St. James Academy, a Catholic high school.
