One of the goals Jeff Robinson had when building J.S. Robinson Fine Homes’ entry on the Artisan Home Tour was to bring together the natural elements of earth, water, air and fire. The reverse 11/2-story Quintessa plan at 16101 Century, Overland Park, in Summerwood Estates, does all of that and more.

The stone-and-stucco exterior of J.S. Robinson Fine Homes’ contemporary home has a tile roof and blends seamlessly into its environment. A professionally landscaped courtyard with an iron gate has a flagstone walk leading past a water feature to the front door. The four-car garage is tucked to the side on a circular drive.

Step onto the front porch to enter the foyer that leads past the dining room into the great room with a stone fireplace. The gourmet island kitchen opens into the great room of this open floor plan. Just beyond is a chef’s back kitchen with a second oven, refrigerator and pantry as well as a built-in desk. The back kitchen is just off the garage entrance for easy transfer of groceries. A mudroom from the garage features a drop zone and half-bath. A private study is tucked just off the mudroom.

The breakfast room opens to the covered lanai with a stone fireplace on one side and on another side has double sliding doors leading to the patio with a grill and fire pit.

The spacious master suite is on the opposite side of the great room. The tiled master bath has dual vanities, a separate shower and tub and opens to a master closet with built-in dresser. The laundry is accessible from both the master closet and the hall leading to the master suite.

A guest suite with a full bath is also found on the main level.

A trip down the staircase from the great room reveals a finished lower level with an open design that flows past a billiards and game room to a media room. Off to the side is a bar with a snack kitchen complete with sink, refrigerator, dishwasher and pantry. Beside the bar is a wine tasting area, defined by stone pillars, and a wine cellar.

Two additional bedrooms on this level share a Jack-and-Jill bath. An exercise room with another complete bath could be a fifth bedroom.

Visitors should pay special attention to the unique wall finishes, the luxurious tile and granite found throughout the home and the decor that was carefully chosen by Robinson and his design team.

“It has been several years since the market has allowed us to build a home of this level of style,” Robinson said. “We are truly honored to be chosen by the Home Builders Association to be part of the Artisan Home Tour. J.S. Robinson and all of its trade partners took extra care with this home. It showcases the latest in energy efficiency and building science.”

The home is available and priced at $1.225 million. For additional information about the home, call J.S. Robinson Fine Homes at 913-441-2988 extension 235.
