Shoal Creek Valley The Preserve and The Village have experienced significant growth during 2014 with 15 new homeowners moving into the community. The result is that opportunities to purchase a home in Shoal Creek Valley are going quickly.
“This year brought 15 new homeowners to our beautiful community,” said Tom Johnson of Keller Williams North, who markets Shoal Creek Valley. “Rich in amenities, these custom-built homes start in the high $400,000s to million-dollar-plus price range.”
Only 16 of the 114 original platted lots remain in The Preserve and just 21 home sites remain in the 96 original platted lots in The Meadows at the Village, a traditional neighborhood design with Craftsman-style homes.
“This is not a community where cookie-cutter houses are perfectly lined up along a busy street,” said Susan Renschler of Keller Williams North. “Quality builders in Shoal Creek Valley are happy to meet with you to discuss any floor plan you desire.”

Shoal Creek Valley is a 1,900-acre master-planned community which has earned the MPC zoning designation through Kansas City, Mo. The community has a Kansas City address, but children attend highly rated Liberty schools with Liberty Oaks elementary on site.
“The neighborhoods at Shoal Creek Valley are sought after as the savvy buyer understands it is about location, location, location,” Johnson said, adding Kansas City International Airport is just a 20-minute drive as are the upscale shops on The Country Club Plaza, arts and entertainment district at the Crossroads and the Power and Light District. The Kauffman Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals are all within a 30-minute drive as well. Those who desire a slower pace can take a walk around the nearby historic Liberty square with its rustic stores and cafes.
The Shoppes at Shoal Creek offer a wide variety of stores and restaurants. Golf enthusiasts will be drawn to the nearby Shoal Creek Valley Golf Course for an enjoyable and challenging 18-hole experience.
The icon of Shoal Creek Valley is The Gate House with its plush grounds, meandering garden pathways, media room, banquet room and fully equipped kitchen. It is available to residents for activities, events and meetings. It is also available to residents who simply want to enjoy the patios, large fountain pool, waterfall hot tub and barbecue pavilion.
The chalet-style clubhouse known as The Park House features large open interior spaces, the warmth of a fireplace and comfortable seating just right for a card game or meeting. But its large, outdoor water park is the main attraction on warm, summer days. There is a lazy river, two large swimming pools, two waterslides, splash plaza, toddler pool, water fountains, tanning patios, picnic pavilions and changing rooms.
“Any season is the perfect time to call Shoal Creek Valley home,” Johnson said. “The amenities are unparalleled with two clubhouses, walking trails, park with BBQ Pavilion, lush landscaping throughout and community events. We have a wonderful group of homeowners who enjoy what has been created here. However, there are very few opportunities left for new homebuyers to make this community their home.”
