Rodrock Development is incredibly proud to celebrate its 31st consecutive year of wins for the Fall Parade of Homes. Five homes total — two in Stonebridge Trails, two in The Hills of Forest View and one in Stonebridge Park — were praised for outstanding home design and architecture. Each offers a standout floor plan, the finest in finishes, and all the amenities and benefits of being located in a Rodrock community.

“We are so proud of these fine builders and thrilled that they chose Rodrock Development Communities to showcase their homes,” said Brenda Sanders, president of Rodrock & Associates, Realtors. “I know how hard each of these builders work and they deserved to win.”

Stonebridge Trails — home to two second-place winners for Distinctive Plan and Design — is thrilled to feature both award-winning designs side-by-side, which is a testament to the quality selection available in this distinctive community.

The incredibly popular Makenna floor plan by Gabriel Homes Inc. is beautifully finished, said longtime marketing agent Joe Stephenson. “This plan is a big seller for Gabriel Homes and is really popular here at the Trails. It features a finished daylight lower level, complete with bar, a large kitchen and a nice, open, informal main floor, which is ideal for entertaining. It offers five bedrooms, 41/2 baths, a covered porch and outdoor living area with fire pit, and a handy mudroom with boot bench.”

Sitting right next door is the Preston Ridge IV by Summit Custom Homes. “With an optional fifth bedroom/office on the main floor and four baths, this home is versatile and open,” Stephenson said. “The large kitchen has ample pantry space and the covered porch invites informal gatherings. The master suite has an impressive walk-in closet that connects to laundry facilities. Summit is just so innovative and efficient with their building.”

“Our award winners sit right next to each other and complement each other,” Stephenson said. “Gabe finished his house out with a warm stain, while Summit chose modern, bright colors. They both provide a great first impression for those coming out to view the rest of the homes in the neighborhood.”

The Stonebridge community is home to another winner: D & M Homes of Kansas City has a Pick of the Parade Runner Up in Stonebridge Park.

“The house is a reverse story-and-a-half with a master suite and another bedroom on the main level,” said Rodrock marketing agent Ed Stephenson. “The finished daylight basement is a huge selling point with two more bedrooms, a walk-behind granite bar, family room and upgraded theater carpet on the stairs. This home comes with so much standard, including a sprinkler system, granite throughout, tile floors and a premium trim package that nicely complements the fine hardwood floors.”

Ed Stephenson hopes that tour-goers will be intrigued by Stonebridge Park’s Pick of the Parade and stay to explore all the new growth within the popular community.

“We now have an additional six homes to tour, three of which are furnished, and we have another 10 homes under construction, some on wooded private lots and some with walk-out and daylight basements,” he said. “We’re opening up a new phase of 71 lots and 40 of those back to green space. This is a really, really nice new phase.”

The Hills of Forest View is home to a thrilling two winners: The Catalina II by J.S. Robinson Fine Homes earned first place for Distinctive Plan and Design, while The James Engle Custom Homes model, The Laurel, garnered second place.

The Catalina II, a reverse 11/2-story with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, is unique in that it features a big wall of windows across the back of the house. Coupled with an open stairwell that leads to the lower level, the home is flooded with natural light, which also gives the lower level the impression of having a two-story ceiling.

Thoughtful extras such as a built-in, back-lit china hutch, fine cabinetry finishes, gorgeous hardwood floors and a contemporary style homebuyers love, give this beautiful home an undeniable winning package.

“The Laurel is a popular plan, a story-and-a-half design, that a lot of people really like,” said Rodrock marketing agent, Linda Roberts. “They love the open concept, the huge kitchen and the breakfast room, which was bumped out two feet and the ceiling vaulted, with inlaid wood in the ceiling and stained beams. It’s truly one of the highlights of the home. The whole house is stunning. It’s got the full welcome-home package.”

“These homes do such a fantastic job of showcasing all that Forest View has to offer and are the perfect jumping off point for people to explore this incredible community,” Roberts said.

This year’s exciting five wins continue Rodrock Development’s long record of successful Parade of Homes.

“I’m honored to have such outstanding builders in our communities,” said Darol Rodrock, president of Rodrock Development.

These successes do justice to the hard work of builders, agents and more within Rodrock’s neighborhoods. It also speaks to the quality he instills in each and every community. And in that case, homebuyers are the true winners.
