Canyon Creek enters 10 homes in Fall Parade
Go west. That’s the advice for visitors to the Fall Parade of Homes who want to see a wide variety of the latest in home design and decor in an array of price ranges from some of Kansas City’s best builders. Canyon Creek in Lenexa is featuring 10 Parade entries, some complete and furnished and some in the late stages of completion, allowing buyers to choose finishes.
Canyon Creek is a master-planned residential community comprised of over 400 home sites, thoughtfully planned with an eye for natural beauty. Over 70 acres of adjacent wooded park land create a serene natural environment for the neighborhood.
Located just off Kansas 10 highway one exit west of Kansas 7, Canyon Creek provides instantaneous access to major highway networks and proximity to dining, entertainment and recreational opportunities at nearby Lenexa parks.
This is possibly the last opportunity to see the current award-winning model row before these five homes are sold. A new model row of eight homes is being built and will open in spring 2015. Three of these models will be increasingly popular reverse 11/2-story plans. A new builder, LDH Construction, has been added to the stellar lineup for these models that also includes James Engle Custom Homes, Roeser Homes, C & M Builders, Lambie Custom Homes and Summit Custom Homes.
“The new model row will be the biggest one in the Kansas City area,” said MaraDona Wood, who markets Canyon Creek with Debbie Sinclair. “I don’t know of any other subdivision with that many models.”
Those who visit Canyon Creek during the Fall Parade, which runs through Oct. 12, may select a pumpkin at the sales office. Those who buy a home in Canyon Creek before April 30, 2015, and their real estate agent will be entered into a drawing to receive a $1,500 travel voucher for a dream vacation of their choice.
In addition to the Parade entries, visitors will find a wide array of available homes with prices ranging from the mid $300,000s to the $900,000s and up, with styles that include two-story, 11/2-story and reverse 11/2-story designs.
Canyon Creek offers three neighborhoods, the Highlands, Canyon Creek by the Lake and Canyon Creek by the Park, each with its own ambiance and price point. A new phase of Canyon Creek by the Lake just opened, offering treed and lake home sites.
With many pre-sold homes and speculative homes underway, construction at Canyon Creek is thriving. For homebuyers who are in need of early occupancy or want to make the move quick and effortless, several styles of spec homes are available for occupancy within 90 days, some in less than 30 days. Canyon Creek’s on-site agents are available daily to help fulfill your needs.
The marketing team said Canyon Creek has distinguished itself as the premier new-home community in Lenexa, which itself received national recognition last year when Business Week magazine named the city as the “Best Place to Raise Kids” in the state of Kansas.
Paved trails along the forested shoreline of the seven-acre Mize Park Lake next to Canyon Creek are enjoyed daily by resident walkers, joggers, cyclists, fishermen and nature lovers. Some of the Kansas City area’s most beautiful, rolling and wooded terrain is found in and around Canyon Creek.
As housing construction flourishes in this revitalized Lenexa neighborhood, Canyon Creek is assuming a place among the metropolitan area’s most adored communities. With its latest offering, Prime Development provides homebuyers a vibrant lifestyle and a remarkable living environment.

Other recreational features include a park-grade playground, a basketball court and a large, open play field for recreational soccer, softball, Frisbee and football.
Nestled within the Olathe School District, Canyon Creek resident students attend award-winning Olathe Schools, including Olathe Northwest High, Mission Trails Middle and Cedar Creek Elementary Schools. Resident students can also avail themselves of nearby St. James Academy, a parochial high school widely renowned for academic excellence and a superior learning environment.
