The Fall Parade of Homes began last Saturday and attendees have been drawn to Benson Place, a master-planned community developed by Hunt Midwest Residential, where three homes are open to tour, including a Pick of the Parade Grand Award winner.

Benson Place is at Northeast 96th Street between I-435 and Northeast Flintlock Road.

“Our brand new model homes have been very popular,” said Aimee Miller, community manager and on-site sales agent for Benson Place. “The homes have been professionally designed and decorated and feature the latest trends in new-home construction.”

One of Benson Place’s Parade entries is a two-story plan by Aspen Homes at 8068 NE 100th Terrace. The home features custom trim and cabinets, hardwood floors and modern finishes throughout.

Summit Custom Homes is showcasing the Grand Award winner, a two-story plan at 8058 NE 100th Terrace that not only includes granite, a designer kitchen and wide-plank hand-scraped hardwood floors, but the builder’s signature Green Build Advantage.

“Summit’s Green Build Advantage saves on utility bills, provides a healthier place to live and employs environmentally conscientious building practices,” said Kevin Stucker, vice president of sales and marketing for Summit Custom Homes.

The third Parade entry is the popular two-story Lexington plan by McFarland Custom Homes at 8050 NE 100th Terrace. The plan has been revised to include a more open layout, fresh, light paint colors and finishes and a stunning master bedroom retreat with spa-like bathroom.

Robertson Construction and SAB Homes have homes open to tour in addition to the Parade entries.

The latest phase of Benson Place opened in January and available home sites are limited.

“Home sites backing to green space are always the most desirable and this phase doesn’t disappoint,” said Miller. “Homes continue to sell quickly. I’m excited that phase five is already under construction.”

Excellent schools, extensive amenities, affordable homes and a family-friendly environment have made Benson Place the community of choice for hundreds of families over the last decade.

Residents enjoy a community pool and recreation area, children’s splash park, playground, walking trails, 5-acre lake and over 40 acres of parkland and natural areas. Construction is well underway on the second community pool and it is scheduled to open next summer. Homes in the community start in the mid $200,000s.

The Parade of Homes, presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City, continues through Oct. 12 and includes 307 entries across the metro. All homes are open to the public 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and admission is free. Participants are welcome to pick up a free Parade of Homes guide at the Home Builders association office or at any Parade entry. A searchable online guide is also available at www.kcparadeofhomes.com.
