One of the Kansas City area’s most popular events—the annual Johnson County Home + Garden Show—starts February 21.

Held at the Overland Park Convention Center and presented by Marketplace Events, The Johnson County Home + Garden Show is the place to springboard your home improvement project dreams, goals and DIY skills. Whether you need construction and remodeling ideas, interior design and décor tips, or want to learn about the latest trends in innovative home improvement products and materials, you will find it here all under one roof.

The hundreds of exhibitors and local experts appearing for this three-day event that will be on hand to answer questions and provide a wealth of information run the gamut from plumbing and heating to foundation repair, roofing, cabinetry, saunas and whirlpools, insurance and mortgage lenders, home security and audio visual, outdoor living, landscaping, fencing, and personal health and wellness, and a great deal more.

Attendees will also find and enjoy a wide variety of other presentations and special features throughout the weekend:

* Discover the hot new colors to make your home décor pop in 2020 at The Pantone Spring 2020 Colors display.

* Shop at several amazing Spring Boutiques offering clothing, outwear, shoes, hats, scarves, purses, and more for the entire family

* Gain inspiration and ideas for your lawn and yard projects while strolling through several stunning visual and tactile Landscaped Gardens.

* Learn at the DIY Station with the DIVA of DIY Leanne Lee. Whether it’s repairing or decorating your home, come to the DIY station for sage advice and great demonstrations.

* At Ask an Expert by the Kansas City NARI Chapter, members of the association will be on-hand to answer all your questions about the home remodeling process.

Friday, February 21 Only - Trade Day

Here, all home-related tradespeople or members of an affiliated association get into the show FREE! To receive a complimentary admission, simply show your valid business card, association membership card, employee ID, or vocational or trade school ID at the Will-Call window.

Hero Day

Sponsored by The National WWI Museum and Monument, Hero Day honors all active and retired military personnel, fire, police and first responders with a valid ID with FREE admission.

Sunday, February 23 Only - Teacher Day

Teacher Day celebrates all teachers and staff for their dedication and service to our children. Just show a valid ID for FREE admission.

Johnson County Home + Garden Show

* Where: Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Boulevard, Overland Park, KS.

* When: Friday, February 21, 10 a.m.- 9 p.m., Saturday, February 22 10 a.m.- 9 p.m., and Sunday, February 23, 10 a.m. - 6 pm.

* Admission: $13 at the door, or $11 in advance online. Kids 12 and under are free. On Friday, February 21, all active and retired military, police and fire personnel, and home-related tradespeople or members of an affiliated association get FREE admission (with valid ID). On Sunday, February 23 all teachers and staff also get FREE admission (with valid ID).

* Parking: Free parking is available and there will be a shuttle from the parking lot located at the corner of Lamar & 114th St. The shuttle is available Friday, February 21, 5 p.m.- 9 p.m., Saturday, February 22 9 a.m.- 9:30 p.m., and Sunday, February 23, 9 a.m. - 6 pm.
