For one family, Forest View is for a lifetime
The Carter family initially came to Rodrock Development’s Forest View from Prairie Village. The family of 3 quickly came to love the community’s residents and amenities—including the pool and splash pad, which served as a favorite spot during hot summer months.
But as the family grew to 6, their home no longer worked as it once had. “We needed a different layout that would suit our family for years to come,” says Brittany. “Our needs had changed, like needing 2 laundry rooms...because we have A LOT of laundry!”
The Carters were faced with a decision: Find a home elsewhere that fit their needs or tackle building a house in their beloved Forest View. “We hadn’t really ever talked about building but didn’t like the thought of leaving our community school or wonderful neighbors,” Brittany admits.
So despite just welcoming a new baby, the family opted to build just down the street from their existing address. “The home is the perfect combination for us, plus the floor plan is called the Carter, and with our last name, we knew it was a good sign!” Brittany says with a laugh. “Roeser has made it a great experience, and it’s even better when you’re such good friends already with your neighbors!”
It takes a pretty fantastic community to warrant such loyalty. And as the Carters can attest, Forest View is truly that special. Comprised of The Estates of Forest View, The Hills of Forest View, and The Meadows of Forest View, the community sits past a cascading 50-foot waterfall, natural rock bluffs, and lush greenery. At every turn, it exceeds homebuyers’ expectations.
“Forest View is unique with its rolling hills and wooded walkout lots,” says community manager Linda Roberts. “The neighborhood is incredibly well thought out. There’s little traffic on residential side streets and some 40 separate cul-de-sacs, which brings an abundance of safety, fellowship, and socializing for all ages.”
And, a number of homes are at the ready, ensuring some lucky homebuyers will ring in the New Year in style.
Prieb Homes has 4 2-story abodes available, all of which offer 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, formal dining, Great Room with fireplace, and gorgeous granite kitchens. “There are several different floor plans to choose from, all priced in the low to mid $400,000’s,” says Linda. “In addition, Prieb has just completed the 4-bedroom, 3-bath Dakota reverse 1.5 story located on a gorgeous walkout wooded lot.”
Hilmann Home Building has 4 reverse 1.5-story homes under construction. “A Chesapeake II Expanded Plus is going up on a fabulous wooded walkout lot in the Estates,” says Cyndi Clothier, community manager. “With some 3,600 square feet of living space, this home has it all: 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 fireplaces, a covered deck, plus covered patio. And there are 3 more reverses under construction in the Hills on wooded walkout lots.”
Roeser Homes is about 90 days from completing a beautiful Bailey 2 story in the Enclave area of the Estates of Forest View. With lovely hardwood floors throughout the first floor, formal dining room and living room, a 2-story hearth with floor-to-ceiling stone accented fireplace, and gourmet kitchen, this home is not to be missed.
“And James Engle Custom Homes is offering its popular Emery reverse 1.5 story on a nice walkout lot,” Cyndi adds. “This beauty is loaded with extras—including hardwood floors, granite, upgraded ceramic tile, and more. And Engle is also constructing a Jameson II and 2 amazing 1.5-story story homes in the new Estates area on private cul-de-sac lots. A Laurel II Expanded and Laurel Expanded are at foundation stage and ready for all your selections!”
Finally, Crown Builders is offering the 2-story Jacqueline on a cul-de-sac lot backing to green space. Featuring 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, formal dining, Great Room with fireplace, and huge center island kitchen, the home wows with upgrades galore.
Forest View offers a lifestyle not found in most neighborhoods. “We love the neighborhood and sense of community we feel,” explains Brittany. “With the school within the neighborhood, it’s been so fun to see school friends at neighborhood events and at the pool and build on those friendships with other families. When we moved here, we had no idea what a wonderful community of people we were getting—and we are so thankful to do life with our neighbors everyday! From Bible studies to garage sales to neighborhood sleigh rides, there is something for everyone to enjoy! We are so glad to be staying in Forest View for many years to come and see our children grow up here.”
