When Julie English and her husband, Joel English, Jr., started their search for a new home, they had two criteria at the top of their list: a Lenexa location and Olathe schools.

While out driving, the model home at The Reserve caught Julie’s eye. She and Joel were impressed by the quality of the homes, but at the time, couldn’t find an option to fit their timeline. Instead, they opted to buy a home in a nearby community, a process that didn’t end well.

“The inspections fell through, so we decided not to proceed with the home,” Julie said.

A frustrating situation soon turned into a happy one. Julie and Joel returned to The Reserve where, with the help of Community Manager Rob Lacio, they found a home under construction that “had everything we wanted,” Julie said, including a quiet cul-de-sac location, perfect for the English’s growing family.

As the home neared completion, Julie said Inspired Homes’ approach to building their home impressed them for all of the right reasons.

“The stand out was the quality of the workmanship, which gave my husband, myself and our realtor a sense of security that we didn’t have with the previous home,” she said. “Keith, the construction manager, pointed out all of these little features of the home that weren’t included in the other homes we were looking at. They just think of everything as far as options.”

Prospective buyers eager to follow in Julie and Joel’s footsteps have some exciting purchase opportunities now available in The Reserve, including three move-in ready homes:

23610 W. 92nd St., a four-bedroom, three-bathroom reverse 1½-story home with 2,459 square feet, priced at $388,535.

23802 W. 92nd Terrace, a three-bedroom, three-bathroom reverse 1½-story home with 2,201 square feet, priced at $354,745.

9104 Sunray Dr., a four-bedroom, three-bathroom two-story home with a second-floor loft and 2,490 square feet, priced at $379,555.

All three homes qualify for Inspired Homes’ promotion. Close on a move-in ready home by Sept. 30, 2018 and use one of Inspired Homes recommended lenders and you’ll receive $5,000 to spend how you want at Nebraska Furniture Mart.

In addition to these three move-in ready homes, three additional homes will be finished by the end of September, completing the current phase of The Reserve.

Additional construction activity is brisk in The Reserve’s newer phase, Vista at The Reserve. Twenty new homesites were recently released, all of which offer desirable locations in the heart of The Reserve, including several cul-de-sac and daylight locations. Plus, the larger homesites can accommodate a coveted feature.

“There’s certainly a high demand for three-car garages, and the new homesites in Vista at The Reserve allow us to meet that demand,” said Todd Lipschutz, president, Inspired Homes.

Not only can prospective buyers choose from new homesites, but new floor plans also await. The Sonoma gives buyers a long-awaited chance to build a true ranch in the community. The floor plan includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a basement and starts at $336,990.

The second new plan, the Rutherford, is a two-story home that offers three or four bedrooms and is priced from $331,990. Both plans are an ideal fit for Vista at The Reserve’s larger homesites and idyllic surroundings, including a prime location within the community that gives residents easy access to The Reserve’s appealing amenities, including the popular community clubhouse and swimming pool. Additional floor plans are available, with prices starting at $331,990.

For prospective buyers on a longer move-in timeline, now is the best time to see what’s available at The Reserve and Vista at The Reserve. Both of Inspired Homes’ recommended lenders — NASB and First American Title — are currently offering 9-month interest rate locks.

“For someone looking for a home that’s complete by the end of the year, they could lock in their interest rate today for that home,” Lacio said.

Homeowners at The Reserve enjoy a variety of amenities, including a children’s swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, a playground and walking trails. Additionally, new residents will love what The Reserve homeowners have already discovered: an idyllic quality of life thanks to the community’s prime Lenexa location. In addition to being near highways, homeowners are also close to favorite recreational spots like Shawnee Mission Park, Lake Lenexa and a sizable network of paved walking and biking trails.

And if you’re a Sporting Kansas City fan like Joel, you’ll love the community’s convenient highway access.

“You can get to Children’s Mercy Park quickly, which was important to my husband,” Julie said with a laugh.

The Lenexa location is especially ideal for families who opt to live in The Reserve — they’ll have a rare opportunity to choose their student’s high school. The community is served by the Olathe School District, and students have traditionally gone to Olathe Northwest High School. Now that the new Olathe West High School is open, high school students in The Reserve can select which high school they attend.

No matter which new home a buyer chooses in The Reserve or Vista at The Reserve, they’ll have the peace of mind that comes with every Inspired Homes floor plan thanks to a comprehensive warranty, exterior features like James Hardie® siding, appealing standard features that now include quartz kitchen and bathroom countertops, and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.

“I was impressed by the value for the homes,” Julie said. “They think of everything as far as options, and I didn’t see that in other homes I toured. Inspired Homes really seems to understand their customers.”
