The Fall Parade of Homes will be here before you know it. And during this year’s event, which kicks off on Sept. 27, Cedar Creek will showcase a number of homes that not only exhibit the talents and craftsmanship of the building team, but also the picturesque surroundings, resort-style amenities and architectural diversity that make Cedar Creek such a coveted place to call home.

During this year’s parade, Cedar Creek’s newest neighborhood, The Crossings at Southglen, will take center stage. Located within a short walk of Cedar Creek Elementary School, The Crossings has proved to be a popular choice for homeowners thanks to a compelling combination of quality-built homes, appealing price points and a prime location within Cedar Creek’s resort-style setting.

The Fall Parade will feature seven new homes in The Crossings, which recently kicked off the second phase of home sites for reservations. Prices range from $68,000 to $87,500 for daylight, walkout and flat locations.

Parade entries include a four-bedroom, two-story floor plan from Rodrock Homes at 11140 S. Hastings St. The home includes a formal dining room and a first-floor study and is priced at $422,500.

Last, but certainly not least, James Engle Custom Homes will also feature a four-bedroom, three-bathroom, reverse 11⁄2-story home for $439,460 at 24657 W. 112th Terrace.

The Parade showcase continues in the aptly named The Woods of Southglen, which features lush, natural terrain amid aesthetically appealing homes. Explore a four-bedroom, 31⁄2-bathroom Windsor floor plan at 11502 S. Carbondale St. from Don Julian Builders Inc. Priced at $474,900, the two-story home includes a spacious open kitchen complete with walk-in pantry, an oversized master suite with sizable walk-in closet and convenient second-floor laundry facilities.

As Parade attendees explore Cedar Creek, they’re encouraged to find out more information on a number of speculative homes that are in varying stages of completion throughout the community. Or prospective homeowners can also opt to work directly with one of Cedar Creek’s builders to create a custom-built residence. Thanks to a wide array of floor plans and home sites, buyers will have the tools they need to make their dream homes a reality.

Although the quality-built homes are undoubtedly the center of attention at Cedar Creek, the community’s impressive array of amenities is a close second. The amenities package includes swimming pools, tennis courts, a lake, a golf course, a fully equipped community center and more, all of which help homeowners feel like they’re on a permanent vacation.

In addition, Cedar Creek hosts a variety of annual and ongoing events, including a community-wide garage sale and holiday-specific festivities. Other events include a ladies lunch bunch, walking group, yoga and a men’s lunch group, all of which contribute to a heightened sense of community and companionship within Cedar Creek.

The community is tucked away in more than 3,000 acres of rolling terrain, yet the prime Olathe location puts homeowners in the heart of Johnson County and near easy highway access to travel throughout the Kansas City area and to Lawrence.

Cedar Creek is served by the Olathe School District, including Olathe Northwest High School, Mission Trail Junior High School and Cedar Creek Elementary School. The community is also near St. James Academy, a Catholic high school.
