The one-of-a-kind Stonebridge community truly shines in this year’s Spring Parade of Homes. The largest Rodrock Development to date, Stonebridge, located between Ridgeview and Black Bob along 167th Street in Olathe, is comprised of Stonebridge Park, Stonebridge Trails, Stonebridge Meadows and Stonebridge Village. And during this year’s Spring Parade an astounding eight homes are beautifully decorated and open to the public through May 10 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

“Getting out on the Parade is such a fun way to see all the potential our neighborhoods possess,” said Brenda Sanders, president of Rodrock & Associates, Realtors. “These communities are exquisitely planned and boast all the extra amenities that make life such a joy.”

Stonebridge Trails is ready and waiting to tempt tour-goers with the tremendously popular Makenna plan by Gabriel Homes Inc.

The Makenna is beautifully finished, said longtime marketing agent Joan Jacquin. “This plan is really popular here at the Trails. It features a finished daylight lower level, complete with bar, a large kitchen and an open, informal main floor, ideal for entertaining. It offers five spacious bedrooms, 41/2 baths, a covered porch and outdoor living area with fire pit, and a handy mudroom with boot bench.”

Meanwhile, Stonebridge Village is proud to showcase Darol Rodrock Homes’ Mayfair, a 11/2-story, three-bedroom, 21/2-bathroom home. “This is truly a beautiful home,” said Craig Hauser, “with sparkling hardwood floors, elegantly stained cabinetry, a graciously appointed kitchen and a spacious master bedroom suite on the main floor.”

And, Hauser added, the basement is ready to be finished, with space for two bedrooms, a bathroom, huge great room and plenty of room leftover for storage. For a low monthly fee, all maintenance is seen to, including sprinkler systems; lawn mowing; edging; fertilization; and snow removal on streets, driveways and rear sidewalks; leaving homeowners more time to entertain, spend time with their families, or give back to the community.

Stonebridge Meadows is proud to have two homes on the parade, said Ann Knickrehm, a longtime Rodrock marketing agent. “The first, by Chris George Homes, is the Hawthorne II with two stories, four bedrooms, 31/2 baths and a three-car garage. The home boasts a formal dining room with butler’s pantry and a spacious kitchen with ample breakfast bar and a breakfast room. The great room has an impressive fireplace and beautiful ceiling trim. And the bedrooms are wonderfully sized with all the finest upgrades, including a Euro shower and soaker tub in the master bath.”

The second home is by Robert A. Washam Construction in the Emrik plan, which is 11/2 stories with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a three-car garage.

“The great room has beautiful hardwood floors and a two-way fireplace that leads to the covered patio, which makes for fabulous flow from indoor to outdoor entertaining,” Knickrehm said. “The kitchen has ample informal dining space and a large breakfast bar, while the mudroom has a helpful planning desk for busy families. The master bedroom has fantastic closet space and is on the main floor, along with an office/optional bedroom. The remaining two bedrooms upstairs share a Hollywood bath, and a loft area makes for a great kids’ area.”

Stonebridge Park has an incredible four homes on the Parade, said Ed Stephenson, a marketing agent with Rodrock Development. “We have two homes by New Mark Homes — the Landen and the Scottsdale — and the Embassy III by First Choice Builders and the Birch I by James Engle Custom Homes. We’re so excited to showcase such a diverse and distinctive set of homes to tour-goers. We think the public is going to be very impressed by what Stonebridge Park has to offer.”

The Birch I is a stately five-bedroom, 31/2-bathroom, two-story home. Beautiful oak hardwoods span the better part of the first floor, through the impressive kitchen, breakfast room and walk-in pantry with hidden workstation. The finest upgrades, including wrought-iron spindles and wood-end caps set this house apart.

The Embassy III is a spacious, open home with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, an impressive circular entry staircase and a premium trim package, which complements the rustic maple hardwood floors, custom cabinetry and stone fireplaces.

Finally, said Stephenson, the Landen and Scottsdale by New Mark Homes offer so much of what homebuyers are seeking, including granite counter tops and other fine finishes. “The Scottsdale is a hard-to-find floor plan,” he added. “The great room has soaring two-story ceilings and a striking stone fireplace. And this lot backs to a beautiful tree line and farmland.”

And last but not least, the Landen is an open, elegant plan on a premium, large cul-de-sac lot. Lush hardwood floors, wrought-iron spindles, an upgraded trim package, fine tile flooring and impressive built-ins make this home a standout.

Still, Stonebridge promises not only protected home values, but also a slew of amenities never before offered in this price range. An expansive trail system links all four communities, offering residents an easy way to visit friends and make use of the neighborhood’s impressive four pools, various playgrounds and two richly appointed clubhouses complete with workout facilities. In fact, Stonebridge boasts a junior Olympic-size pool and water slide; zero-entry pools and changing cabanas; pergola-covered grills; picnic areas; hard-surface sport court; and several well-equipped children’s playgrounds.

Another bonus? The paved trails lead directly to Prairie Creek Elementary School, which has won the Governor’s Award an impressive three times. With all these premium extras, homebuyers turn to Stonebridge time and time again.
