Award-winning SAB Homes features six homes on Parade
When the 2015 Spring Parade of Homes begins Saturday, SAB Homes will be featuring six homes scattered throughout the Kansas City area to show homebuyers the quality it provides in a wide range of prices and styles.
“Each spring and fall, with each Parade of Homes, we hope to showcase homes that reflect various floor plans at a range of price points,” said SAB Homes’ owner Scott Bamesberger. “This spring, we have six entries in six subdivisions. We hope that you’ll visit them all.”
The featured homes include:
▪ The Manitoba, a reverse 11/2-story plan with four bedrooms at 5903 S. National Drive, Parkville, in Cider Mill Ridge at the National.
▪ The Riviera, a reverse 11/2-story plan with four bedrooms at 2405 SW Hickory Lane, Lee’s Summit in Eagle Creek.
▪ The Stratford, a reverse 11/2-story plan with three bedrooms at 1513 SW Antiquity Drive, Lee’s Summit, in Siena at Longview.
▪ The Cortona, a 11/2-story with four to five bedrooms at 132 NW Whitman Drive, Lee’s Summit in Winterset Valley
▪ The Summit, a two-story plan with four bedrooms at 8054 NE 100th Terrace, Kansas City, Mo., in Benson Place Fieldstone.
▪ The Chiantia, two-story plan with five bedrooms at 15513 Larsen St., Overland Park, in Colton Lakes South.
For more than a quarter-century, SAB Homes has been building homes throughout the Kansas City area. SAB Homes chooses to build in communities that offer the amenities that potential residents want most and in a wide array of price ranges. A display of trophies from the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City in the company’s Lee’s Summit office is a testament to the high standards and quality for which SAB Homes is known.
Customer service is one of the hallmarks of SAB Homes. “It doesn’t matter if the home is $200,000 or $1 million, I want every buyer to receive the same level of quality and the same level of customer service,” Bamesberger said. “Everyone receives 100 percent.”
All of the staff at SAB Homes understands how overwhelming the process of building a home can be and has measures in place to help clients along the way so that building their dream home is as stress-free as possible.
Communication is at the heart of easing clients’ minds, which is why SAB sets up a meeting with all of the parties involved right after a contract is signed. Everyone at the office has a role with new buyers so that all phases of construction move along quickly without sacrificing communication.
Katie Reece, the in-house designer, helps clients select everything from carpet to tile, to built-ins and lighting. Instead of driving all over town with tiny swatches trying to determine which tile goes with your chosen granite, all of the design elements are at SAB’s home office. You can put the paint color next to the tile and granite and wood floors, too.
“Katie can help you choose selections that will complement one another,” Adrienne Morfeld, marketing manager, said. “Selections are what make your home special and unique to you and we understand how important these decisions are to the overall feel of your new home.”
In the home-building process, questions are a natural and Raelynn King-Barnhart, general manager, is there with an answer. She brings many years of experience to the table and she’s always nearby to answer anything from how much it will be to upgrade all your shower heads to what the SEER rating is for the heat pump.
“Many buyers want to make a change to the floor plan, edit something here and there,” King-Barnhart said. “While we welcome customization, cost is always a concern. We’re here to help keep the costs down by getting those questions answered at the beginning and providing solutions that meet our clients’ needs.”
At the job site, you’ll find the superintendent is at the home every single day. He coordinates the schedule with all of the subcontractors, ensures plans are followed accurately and makes sure all the details, changes and selections are carried out correctly. SAB Homes also welcomes buyers to visit the job site.
At every stage of construction, all of SAB’s staff and its subcontractors are working towards the same goal: delivering a home that is 100 percent.
“That can be quite a lofty goal when you take into consideration that there are probably 5,000 different elements that are touched by about 100 different people,” Morfeld said. “But, we do not waiver from this goal. Instead, we employ several levels of quality control checks to ensure we are delivering the best quality.”
SAB Homes stands behind its homes, even after the sale. Its home warranty is one aspect for which the company is best known. Service after the sale is where a lot of builders drop the ball. But not at SAB Homes.
“We have our own team of warranty personnel who come to the home twice before the closing and twice during the year after closing,” Morfeld said. “Touch ups and minor adjustments are typical repairs. It’s important to us that buyers continue to receive great service even after they have moved in. It’s a big commitment to build a home and we want buyers to know that we’re here to exceed their expectations and take pride in our work.”
