Over the last few years, the K-7 corridor has become a hotbed for thriving businesses. The likes of Cerner, Aldi, Honeywell, and Amazon have put down roots in the area, leading to some incredible growth.

Fortunately, Rodrock Development has some truly fantastic communities close to the K-7 corridor, including the Greens of Chapel Creek, Forest View, Arbor Woods, and Grayson Place. Each neighborhood is perfectly positioned so that families can effortlessly work, live, and play—all within mere minutes of each other.

“The Greens of Chapel Creek’s location off of 68th Street has been fantastic and has seen tremendous growth,” says community manager Brandilyn Thompson. “The Greens has about 45 percent of the market share in new construction sales between $450,000 to $750,000 in the DeSoto School District. People always comment about how our community feels private and secluded yet is close to shopping, highway access, and great schools.”

The Greens of Chapel Creek isn’t even a quarter mile away from K-7, which makes for easy commutes, yet you can’t hear nor see any traffic from the neighborhood.

“Coupled with being one of the very few golf course communities around, people are loving our lots,” adds Brandilyn. “We only have two water-view lots left overlooking the 20th and 22nd fairways and only a handful of lots left on the golf course. We currently have 15 specs available, with half of them being completed in 60 days or less. Half of our current inventory includes reverse 1 1/2-story homes on walkout lots. And we have only one phase left before we are finished here at the Greens—so buyers need to move fast!”

But fine homes are really only the beginning of what makes this community so beguiling. In addition to Erfurt Park, the Greens of Chapel Creek also boasts a zero-entry infinity pool with fountain, changing cabana, and picnic area. And it goes without saying that a huge selling point for many a resident is the Shawnee Golf & Country Club, which offers not only one-of-a-kind views but also affordable club memberships for families and individuals. The club boasts a 27-hole championship golf course, four sets of tee boxes, an aqua driving range, three swimming pools, tennis court, fitness center, and club house with women’s and men’s locker rooms and dining facilities.

Also mere minutes from K-7 is the gorgeous Forest View—though you’d never know it. The community sits atop a gently winding boulevard, past a cascading 50-foot waterfall, natural rock bluffs, and lush greenery. Comprised of The Estates of Forest View, The Hills of Forest View, and The Meadows of Forest View, the neighborhood is perennially popular among the most discerning of homebuyers.

“Forest View is such a unique area with its rolling hills and wooded walkout lots,” says community manager Linda Roberts. “The neighborhood is incredibly well thought out. There’s little traffic on residential side streets and some 40 separate cul-de-sacs, which brings an abundance of safety, fellowship, and socializing for all ages. The community is quiet and tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but the highway access is excellent! We’re located just west of K-7, which conveniently runs north into K-10. You can head to Lawrence or go east to I4-35, I-35, or 69 Hwy. It’s definitely a destination that many people love to call home.”

There are numerous spec homes under construction within the community, including a refreshing assortment of 2-story, 1 1/2-story, and reverse 1 1/2-story floor plans. Several homes are move-in ready, while others are under construction and awaiting homebuyers’ personal touches.

“You can still be in a new home and enjoy the holidays,” adds Linda. “Our prices range from $400,000 to $900,000-plus. Come by and tour some of our beautiful completed homes including James Engle’s Laurel Expanded, Tabernacle’s 1.5-story Denali Chalet or the reverse 1 1/2-story Denali, and JFE’s Summerfield II.”

As with all Rodrock Developments, Forest View boasts an impressive amenity package, including a large zero-entry pool, water park, playground, volleyball, and picnic area.

Still another two Rodrock Developments, including Arbor Woods at Canyon Drive and 125th Terrace and Grayson Place at 119th and Lone Elm, are close to the popular K-7 corridor. As well, there are a few remaining homes left in Persimmon Hill at Santa Fe Street and Persimmon Drive. This area is quickly becoming a center of commerce—and for the lucky homebuyer—a truly fantastic place to call home.
