Limited opportunities remain for luxury homes in Shoal Creek Valley
Those who have been dreaming of building a luxury home in Shoal Creek Valley, one of the Northland’s premier master-planned communities, are running out of options. Only 12 home sites remain available in The Preserve at Shoal Creek Valley that consists of the The Estates, The Woods and The Cottages. Once those are sold, there will be no more.
Nine of these home sites are in The Estates along Shoal Creek Parkway and present an excellent opportunity to live along one of Kansas City’s picturesque, tree-lined boulevards. In fact, one of the biggest draws to The Estates in the Preserve is its tree-lined streets with decorative street lights. Additionally, only three golf course lots remain backing to the award-winning Shoal Creek Golf Course.
The Estates features upper-bracket, custom homes along winding streets on gently rolling terrain. It has been a Northland showcase since building first began in Shoal Creek Valley some 15 years ago and has hosted the Homes of Note holiday benefit tour for the Kansas City Symphony three times.
Shoal Creek Valley encompasses seven neighborhoods on 1,900-plus acres on either side of Missouri 152 highway between Interstates 35 and 435. North of Missouri 152 are the neighborhoods in The Preserve and south of the highway are The Village neighborhoods.
With the advent of spring weather and summer just around the corner, residents will be making maximum use of the extensive amenities, spending time at the swimming pools and enjoying the parks and walking trails scattered throughout the various neighborhoods.
“Buyers’ interest in our community piques as they discover the incomparable amenity package that includes The Gate House and The Park House, exercise trails, the golf course that meanders throughout the community, as well as the Liberty Oaks Elementary School, Clayview Country Club and stores and shops all on site,” said Tom Johnson, who markets Shoal Creek Valley with Susan Renschler.
These amenities deliver to the savvy buyer the complete lifestyle package providing a balanced life.
“The developer, Suburban Land Reserve, takes great pride in Shoal Creek Valley. Their commitment to Shoal Creek Valley is evident with the care and attention to detail, such as custom streetlights, irrigated landscaped green areas, street-side trees and walking trails throughout the community,” Johnson said.
Shoal Creek Valley amenities include The Gate House in The Preserve, a popular gathering place for residents. It has a banquet room, screening room with an 86-inch flat-screen TV, equipped kitchen, reading room and more. The resort-style swimming pool features fountains, spa and cabana. The Gate House offers outdoor entertainment areas on the clubhouse balcony and terrace level patio, as well as a barbecue pavilion and gardens with walking paths.
Residents also gather at The Park House in The Village, which offers a clubhouse with full kitchen, fireplace, flat-screen television and an outdoor patio for entertaining with a barbeque and fire pit.
The $4 million family-friendly water park next to The Park House features a zero-entry pool and two huge water slides, lazy river, suntan island, splash park and ample open and covered seating. To top it all off, yet another pool offers a serene, secluded environment with waterfall, cabanas, restrooms and changing areas.
In The Meadows at The Village, homeowners enjoy The Village Park and Pavilion that features an open-air picnic shelter, one-acre neighborhood park with a stone barbecue grill, stone table and chairs and lots of open green space.
Shoal Creek Valley has a wide selection of neighborhoods with price ranges that fit a variety of budgets and lifestyles, whether buyers are starting out, moving up or downsizing.
Shoal Creek Valley has a Kansas City address, but children attend schools in the highly rated Liberty School District. Johnson and Renschler agree this is a family community where residents can raise their children, enjoy the great amenities within this master-planned community, meet great neighbors and live a “balanced life.”
Because of its proximity to major highways, Shoal Creek Valley offers prime accessibility throughout the Northland, as well as being close to shopping, entertainment and services.
