Hunt Midwest Residential has new home inventory to meet demand
The housing market has started off strong in 2015, nearly doubling the number of new home sales throughout Hunt Midwest Residential’s master-planned communities compared to the same time last year.
“A lack of available housing inventory — both new and resale — has driven much of the traffic in our communities this year,” said Jenni Mann, marketing manager for Hunt Midwest Residential. “Buyers’ existing homes are selling so quickly that they are left scrambling to buy their next home. It’s a complete turnaround from where we were just three or four years ago.”
Home builders in the Northland have been busy keeping up with the demand.
“We’re grateful to work with a fantastic team of home builders who continue to keep a variety of quality homes available for buyers,” said Mann. “Real estate agents know that they can bring their buyers to any one of our communities to see a number of floor plans and wide range of finishes. Our on-site community managers have years of new homes experience and enjoy walking people through the process of building or buying new.”
Move-in ready homes are now available in five of Hunt Midwest’s Northland communities.
With 16 homes starting in the upper $200,000s, Benson Place continues to be a homebuyer favorite. Located in Kansas City, North on 96th Street just west of Flintlock Road, it boasts family-friendly amenities that include competition-sized swimming pool and cabana, children’s spray ground, playground, five-acre lake, picnic area, walking trails and more than 40 acres of parkland and natural areas. A second community swimming pool was recently completed and will open early summer. Students in Benson Place attend the highly sought-after Liberty School District.
Eight completed homes starting in the upper $300,000s are available in Woodneath Farms, a destination community with rolling hills, larger home sites and grand residences, all located in the Liberty School District on Flintlock Road north of Missouri 152. All homes are required to have brick and stone facades, giving them a classic, timeless look. This weekend, Woodneath Farms will open its most anticipated phase in years, Links III, featuring 16 home sites backing to the Shoal Creek Golf Course.
Amenities were designed with families in mind and include a competition-size swimming pool, lake and fountain, walking trails, playground, nature areas, tennis court, picnic pavilion, recreation area, generous landscaping and brick entrance monuments. The Mid-Continent Public Library Woodneath branch and Shoal Creek Elementary are situated on either side of the community’s entrance, adding additional conveniences within walking distance of home.
Surrounded by trees and green space, Staley Hills offers residents a retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with two dramatic water features bordering the community’s entrance, a crystal clear swimming pool, scenic walking trails and beautiful, stone-clad homes lining the streets.
Situated off North Woodland Avenue and Shoal Creek Parkway, just north of Missouri 152, Staley Hills is close to many conveniences such as Zona Rosa and has excellent access to major highways, Kansas City International Airport and downtown Kansas City. It is within the highly acclaimed North Kansas City School District where students attend Staley High School, New Mark Middle School and Bell Prairie Elementary School.
Ten available homes, starting in the lower $300,000s, feature the latest in floor plans and interior design. Many more are now under construction in the community’s latest phase which includes home sites backing to trees and green space.
Although development first began nearly eight years ago in The Reserve at Riverstone, recent improvements have left it looking and feeling like a brand new community.
The second phase of The Reserve at Riverstone opened in December and includes 40 premier home sites, with a limited number backing to open space. Other additions include a brand new community swimming pool, entrance monument and nearly 100 trees and other landscaping at the north entrance off of Tiffany Springs Road.
Robertson Construction and Sallee Homes have a total of three homes now open to tour, including the two-story Dalton, reverse 11/2-story Terry and 11/2-story Alcott, and prices start in the mid $300,000s.
Treed home sites and gorgeous inventory homes sit nestled within Running Horse, a growing neighborhood attracting the choosiest homebuyers.
Seven homes are currently in various stages of construction, five of which are move-in ready and available to tour by appointment. Homes by Aspen Homes, Sallee Homes and Ernst Brothers Home Construction start in the upper $200,000s.
With a pastoral setting spread over 145 acres, Running Horse is just south of Platte City on Running Horse Road. The community offers residents a swimming pool, playground and paved walking trails that connect to the Prairie Creek Greenway.
In addition to beautiful home sites and family-friendly amenities, a thriving school district and an ideal location have made Running Horse one of the best-selling new home communities in Platte County.
