Ridgestone Meadows will showcase five homes in three popular styles during the Fall Parade of Homes. The Shawnee community sits on a secluded hilltop that feels miles from anywhere, but is actually close to everything.

“Ridgeview Meadows has a secluded, yet central, location offering everything a homebuyer could want,” said resident Jennifer Harvey, who markets Ridgestone Meadows for ReeceNichols. “Residents have easy access to I-70, I-435, I-35 and Shawnee Mission Parkway, making Kansas City International airport, The Legends shopping center, downtown, the Country Club Plaza and Midtown all just a short drive away.”

It is also a convenient drive for those attending the Fall Parade of Homes set for Sept. 27 through Oct. 12. Many of the area’s premier builders are showcasing new models in Ridgestone Meadows, including J.S. Robinson Fine Homes, Dreams & Designs Building and Rodrock Homes.

J.S. Robinson Fine Homes

J.S. Robinson Fine Homes has been building new homes in the greater Kansas City area for more than 20 years. Jeff Robinson and his team have built three homes to deliver lasting value and innovative plan designs. The team is premiering the 11/2-story floor plan, The Avalon II, for the Fall Parade of Home. The home has the master bedroom on the main floor, along with a second bedroom or office. The wide-open floor plan offers a large great room, custom butler’s pantry, expansive windows and a covered deck. Three bedrooms and a spacious loft make up the second floor.

The rear staircase found in the Rosemount II allows for a completely open floor plan with two dining areas, great room and custom kitchen. The main level also has a master suite and second bedroom, each with a full bath and walk-in closet. A family room with granite wet bar and two additional bedrooms can be found in the finished basement. The home is ready for purchase now.

“If a smaller reverse plan is a better fit for your lifestyle, the Catalina II by J.S. Robinson just may be your perfect fit,” Harvey said.

This Craftsman-styled home offers a functional main floor with two bedrooms, a great room and dining area. An atrium staircase opens to the finished lower level, which includes two more bedrooms, family room and game room. The level lot provides easy access from the main floor into the wooded backyard.

Dreams & Designs Building

Giving buyers the home of their dreams with exceptional energy efficiency is the promise of Dreams & Designs Building, said Kevin Stallings, president of Dreams & Designs Building and a Certified Green Builder.

“It’s my personal mission to maximize all the advancements in Energy Star design,” Stallings said. “All our homes are independently tested by an Energy Star-approved auditor. Our customers are saving literally thousands of dollars a year on their energy costs alone.”

Dreams & Designs showcases its Energy Star 3.0 building system in the company’s custom Sirabella two-story home. The main level features 10-foot ceilings and a fifth bedroom with a private bath, which would be perfect for overnight guests or an office. The master suite features a “parent’s escape.” This unique room is perfectly situated off the master bath for ultimate privacy. Home automation features include interior and exterior lighting on timers and a basement safe room.

Rockrock Homes

The Rodrock family has been building custom new homes in the Kansas City area for three generations. Rodrock Homes prides itself on creating a home that is unique to each homeowner. Its popular two-story Lancaster II model features a custom butler’s pantry between the formal dining room and spacious kitchen; hardwood flooring throughout the main level, including dining room and office. The home’s office is discreetly tucked behind the kitchen and offers a door leading directly to the backyard patio. There are built-ins throughout the home.

“Our builders are among the best in the business,” Harvey said. “They are known not only for their quality custom homes but also for their green building practices and energy-efficient homes.”

The award-winning DeSoto School District has also drawn many families to the community. Within minutes of the community are Horizon Elementary and Mill Creek Middle as well as Mill Valley High which received the Governor’s Award as one of the top 5 percent of schools in the state. The district is currently rated No. 2 in the entire Kansas City metropolitan area by the Kansas City Business Journal. Current test scores ranked it No. 1 in math and reading scores for high school students and No. 1 in reading and No. 2 in math for middle score students.
