Rodrock Homes showcases new models, community and more during Fall Parade
One of the year’s most-anticipated new homes events kicks off today, allowing prospective buyers a glimpse into the hottest communities in the most desirable location, highlighting trends in floor plans, design and amenities. Now through Oct. 4, Rodrock Homes has 19 distinctive properties in 11 premier communities through the award-winning Blue Valley and De Soto Unified school districts, available for tour during the Fall Parade of Homes.
Terrybrook Farms, a 160-acre Julian-Rodrock Homes community, located at 171st and Switzer Road in Overland Park, is also set to debut.
Whether you’re in the market to purchase or build, downsize or upgrade, the parade is an opportunity to see firsthand Rodrock’s acclaimed model homes. With prices ranging from $370,000 to more than $1 million, there’s something for everyone – including homes available for immediate move-in within each community.
Here’s a preview of six Rodrock communities with Fall Parade of home entries.
Colton: Superb Location, Dynamic Living. Colton satisfies discerning buyers searching for one of Overland Park’s few remaining new homes communities. ReeceNichols real estate agent and Colton community manager Kerwin Holloway notes Colton buyers typically desire a special place to raise their family.
“From the minute you drive into Colton you know it’s a community to experience life and its countless moments,” Holloway said. “Buyers are attracted to many things here, from 69 Highway’s accessibility to the park-like setting to the abundant stylish floor plans.”
Colton is showcasing two popular reverse 1.5-story homes during the parade – the Monterey and Anthem Reverse.
Gleason Glen: Quality, Style, Value. Happily off the beaten path, Gleason Glen is just west of Kansas 7 Highway in Lenexa in a secluded area with easy access to dining, shopping, and entertainment and located in the award-winning De Soto Unified School District.
“We’re excited to welcome parade visitors,” said Judy Zimmerman, ReeceNichols real estate agent and Gleason Glen community manager. “We have the Dillon Reverse 1.5-story, the Aspen Reverse 1.5-story, the Irving two-story with a first-floor office and the Destin 3.5 two-story. All homes focus on impeccable décor, craftsmanship and value.”
Hills of Forest Creek: Convenience, Personality. Beyond well-built homes, the primary reasons people choose this Shawnee community are for its location, top-rated school district and in-community access to Clear Creek Trail. The unique amenity links homeowners directly to one of the city’s longest and most scenic trails, the 17-mile Mill Creek Streamway Trail. Walkers, joggers, bikers, hikers, and even equestrian lovers enjoy the great outdoors nearly year-round on this unusual expanse of nature in the city.
“We’re close to I-435, K-7, and K-10 highways, and a short commute to the airport and most city attractions,” said ReeceNichols agent and community manager Rob Lacio. “We just ended the season for our brand-new pool, something Hills of Forest Creek will look forward to next summer.”
Summerwood/Summerwood Estates: Ambience, Amenities. Homebuyers have embraced the serenity and creative design found in Summerwood. Located within the Blue Valley School District, the neighborhood features a private stocked fishing lake with fountain, kid-friendly sports court, more than two miles of nature trails, zero-depth entry lagoon-style pool with cabanas, scenic views and spacious home sites surrounded by more than 50 acres of natural green space.
Summerwood Estates, an enclave within Summerwood that boasts estate-size sites and the ability to bring in an outside builder, has everything for the custom homebuyer.
“As one of the area’s most sought-after new home communities, Summerwood Estates is a place to not only build your dream home, but also a stunning setting in which to enjoy sunsets, terrific amenities and a welcoming ambience,” said Angela Fitzgerald, real estate agent with Weichert, Realtors Graham-Welch and community manager.
Terrybrook Farms: Continuing a Family Tradition. Terrybrook Farms, Johnson County’s first master plan community since 2008, was envisioned by two names synonymous with innovation, building signature family homes with integrity and concierge customer service: Don Julian, founder and president of Don Julian Homes and Rodrock Homes founder and CEO, Brian Rodrock. The duo handpicked three Kansas City builders to join them: James Engle Custom Homes, Roeser Homes and New Mark Homes.
Terrybrook Farms offers discerning buyers three communities – Maple Ridge of Terrybrook Farms, Stone Creek of Terrybrook Farms and The Estates of Terrybrook Farms – surrounded by contemporary amenities. Prices range from the mid-$400s to more than $1 million. Two Stone Creek model homes, the Cimarron and Coronado, will be open for the tour.
Wyngate: New Models, Limited Promotion. In addition to extraordinary designs, homeowners choose Wyngate because of rare, walk-up access to Blue Valley schools. Paved nature trails link kids door-to-door with both Cedar Hill Elementary and Pleasant Ridge Middle School and quiet, intra-community roads also connect high school students to Blue Valley West High School.
“Wyngate’s location adjacent to the Blue Valley school campus is key for most of our homeowners,” said Andrea Sullivan, Wyngate community manager and ReeceNichols agent.
In its final phase, Wyngate features three brand-new models: the Larsen EX, Lancaster 4.5 and Roanoke.
