You’ve probably been debating who should win the real Academy Awards. We’ve created some alternative categories for other 2014 movies as well. For example: Funniest comedy. Best talking animal.

And best performance by a Kansas Citian. Trai Byers, who stars in “Selma,” is a newcomer to this competition. He’s up against Chris Cooper in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” Rob Riggle in “Dumb and Dumber To,” Jason Sudeikis in “Horrible Bosses 2” and Paul Rudd in “They Came Together.”
