Symphony in the Flint Hills announces 2016 site
The Symphony in the Flint Hills announced Sept. 29 it will hold its 11th annual concert June 11, 2016, near Clements in Chase County.
The site, a remote pasture owned by Edward Bass, a cattleman with large holdings in Texas and Kansas, is the same location used in 2010.
The popular sunset performance by the Kansas City Symphony, preceded by educational presentations, nature walks and an art show, has sold out each year.
The theme of the 2016 concert is “The Future of the Flint Hills.”
Tickets for the 2016 show will cost $94 for adults and $50 for children under 12. They will go on sale online and at a few box office locations in early spring; the exact date for ticket sales has not been set.
