Sometimes life imitates art.

At the end of the first act of the Broadway musical “Dear Evan Hansen,” the title character gives an inspiring speech about empathy that goes viral. The full company then takes the stage to join Hansen in singing “You Will Be Found.”

“Dear Evan Hansen” put a call-out on Facebook for fans to send in their rendition of “You Will Be Found” in what they called Broadway’s first virtual choir.

The video of fans coming together as one voice has since begun to go viral as well.

“Dear Evan Hansen” is a musical about a lonely young man who gets tangled in a lie after one of his classmates commits suicide.

The musical opened on Broadway in December 2016 at the Music Box Theater in New York City.

The play won seven Tony Awards in 2017, including best musical.
