Taylor Swift announces Eras Tour will stop at Arrowhead Stadium in 2023
Taylor Swift’s first tour in five years is stopping in Kansas City.
The artist’s Eras Tour, which she announced on Good Morning America Tuesday, will stop at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, July 8. Swift told GMA the tour, which is her first since the 2018 Reputation Tour, will be “a journey through all of my musical eras of my career.”
Fans can sign up for a pre-sale on Ticketmaster by Nov. 9 at 11:59 p.m. E.T. to become Verified Fans and access ticket sales between Nov. 15 and Nov. 17. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Nov. 18.
Fans who signed up to purchase tickets for Lover Fest, Swift’s previous tour for her album “Lover,” which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will have preferred access to the pre-sale.
The tour will feature various opening acts, including MUNA and Gracie Abrams in Kansas City. Other nearby tour stops include two performances in Chicago and one each in Detroit and Cincinnati.
Since Swift’s last tour in 2018, she has released six studio albums, including her most recent release “Midnights,” which broke records with songs from the album taking up all 10 spots on the Billboard Hot 100. Her single “Anti-Hero” became her 40th No. 1 song, edging out Madonna to have the most top singles of any female artist in history.
Other albums since the Reputation Tour include “Lover,” “folklore,” “evermore,” “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)“ and “Red (Taylor’s Version).”
Swift told GMA the tour will start in U.S. stadiums, and international dates will be announced soon.
“Really,” she said, “I’m just so excited that I get to look you guys in the eye and say thank you for everything.”
