Thousands of fans camped outside The Midland Theatre on Tuesday, Feb. 24, and Wednesday, Feb. 25, for a shot at $9 tickets to see country star Megan Moroney in a limited three-song acoustic show Wednesday night. It’s a part of Moroney’s fan-centered 9 Cities, 9 Days Tour in honor of her third studio album, “Cloud 9,” which released Feb. 20.

If you missed out on tickets, she’ll be back in Kansas City in August. It’ll cost you a lot more than $9, however.

Moroney brings her Cloud 9 Tour to T-Mobile Center Sunday, Aug. 16. It marks the Georgia-born singer’s first arena tour, three years after releasing her debut album, “Lucky.”

Prices to see the Emo Cowgirl are more than 20 times than what fans paid for at The Midland. The cheapest remaining ticket on AXS is $216, located in section 115. Other face value tickets can be found for $242 and $267 in section 108.

AXS lists resale prices for every sections inside the arena, including the general admission pit section in front of the stage. A ticket for this section costs $330. Prices in the 200-level sections start at $169, and floor seats cost $276.

She’ll play songs from the new album like “6 Months Later” and “Beautiful Things,” along with fan favorites “Tennessee Orange,” “Am I Okay?” and “I’m Not Pretty.”

“Tennessee Orange” was her first song to hit the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and she was also named the best new artist at the 2024 Country Music Association awards.

It’s predicted that her newest album will debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album charts on Tuesday, March 3’s update, making her the first female country artist to top the chart with an album of new music since Carrie Underwood did it in 2018.

Kansas City and Nashville, Tennessee, are the only cities included in both her 9 Cities, 9 Days Tour and Cloud 9 Tour.
