Comedian and cabaret singer Bridget Everett was called one of the “Funniest People in New York,” by publication Time Out in 2017, and she’s carried that momentum since, starring in Emmy-nominated television shows like HBO’s “Somebody Somewhere,” which is inspired by her life growing up in Manhattan, Kansas.

She’s also appeared in movies like “Trainwreck,” and “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” and now she’s hitting the road with a few stops in the Midwest.

Fans can see her in 2026 on her Big Titties, Big Dreams Tour, which will include a visit to Kansas City. Limited tickets priced at $120.70 on Ticketmaster remain for her show Monday, March 9, at Uptown Theater.

Tickets are also available on resale sites like SeatGeek for as low as $136 and $148 on StubHub.

Before becoming a touring stand-up comedian and singer, she was a student at Arizona State University who graduated with a degree in vocal performance in 1995. She moved to New York 1997, where she worked in the restaurant business for 25 years while picking up other stand-up and comedic writing jobs.

One of her first starring roles was “At Least It’s Pink: A Trashy Little Show,” an off-Broadway musical comedy that ran in 2007. She later met comedian Amy Schumer at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in 2009, and has been a regular opening act on Schumer’s comedy tours since 2012.

“She was familiar with my work and she’s like, ‘Get out of your room. Let’s go have some Chardonnay, let’s go down to the bar, because everybody’s there,’” Everett said to People in 2023. “We went down and we started talking to people. I’m like, ‘Well, this isn’t so bad.’”

Everett is also a founding a member of The Tender Moments, a cabaret-pop fusion band she formed with Adam “Ad-Rock“ Horovitz from the Beastie Boys.

Her father was Donn Everett, a Republican in the Kansas State Senate and Kansas House of Representatives from 1969 to 1978.
