Neil Diamond musical headlines 2026 Broadway schedule at KC’s Starlight

“A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical” highlights the recently announced four-musical 2026 Broadway season at Starlight Theatre.

The iconic Kansas City theater’s 75th season of Broadway shows will feature three Starlight premieres, including its own production of “Disney’s Newsies.” Season tickets are on sale at kcstarlight.com and (816) 363-7827.

Starlight’s $40 million renovation project, highlighted by an arching, opaque canopy connected to two towers and spanning the outdoor theater’s front 3,200 seats, originally was scheduled to be completed in time for the 2026 season but now is targeted for 2027. The first phase of construction is complete; the second phase will begin next fall.

“Hadestown,” June 9-14: Tale of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice won eight Tony Awards in 2019, including best musical.

“A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical,” July 6-12: Tells Diamond’s life story while featuring the singer-songwriter’s pop classics.

“Monty Python’s Spamalot,” Aug. 3-8: New production of the stage version of the movie “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” returns to Starlight.

“Disney’s Newsies,” Sept. 8-13: Story of newsboys in turn-of-the century New York City was inspired by a true story.
