Savannah Bananas are coming to Kansas City. Can you still score a ticket?
The Savannah Bananas are coming to Kansas City on May 23 and 24 and are set to face The Firefighters. It’s expected to be a popular game, but getting tickets isn’t as easy as some other KC sports teams.
With just weeks to go, many are left wondering how to get tickets. Unfortunately, for most fans, there isn’t a great option.
Often referred to as the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball, Savannah Bananas distributes tickets to fans through a lottery system; however, the lottery for the 2025 season closed on Nov. 1. Fans can still join the ticket interest list in case tickets become available closer to the game. Those chosen by the lottery were able to purchase up to five tickets approximately two months before the game at Kauffman Stadium, which has a capacity of 37,903.
Those still looking for tickets have flocked to third-party sites like SeatGeek and StubHub, but the Bananas warn that these tickets are often fraudulent. The only secure way to purchase tickets is through their Fans First Ticketing site.
It’s the first time the Bananas have played at Kauffman Stadium, but they’ve twice visited the Legends Fields, the home of the Kansas City Monarchs minor-league baseball game. Bananas owner Jesse Cole credits KC with helping get his brand of baseball off the ground, Startland News reported in 2023.
Since joining TikTok in 2020, the Bananas have built a national fanbase with videos of the players’ lipsyncing and other antics, now boasting 9.8 million followers.
For Kansas City fans who want to see the viral crew in person, the other option is to purchase a Royal Suite at Kauffman Stadium. The May 23 game has a signature suite available for $5,500. This includes 20 tickets, access to the premium entrance at Gate C, and the option to add food and beverage packages.
On Saturday, May 24, an All-Star Suite is still available for $6,025, which includes 35 tickets, access to the premium entrance at Gate C, and the option to add food and beverage packages. There is also a signature suite available for $5,240
Fans can also join the Savannah Bananas K Club interest list for the 2026 season. Members of the K Club can purchase up to six tickets per game before the lottery list opens. Members also have access to K Club ambassadors, exclusive games and events, first access to games, meet-and-greets, and experiences, as well as exclusive merchandise.
The K Club prioritizes fans by longevity, so while members can purchase tickets before the lottery, older club member classes receive their offer first. As of now, there are 2023, 2024 and 2025 class members.
