This week in KC: Big theater openings, plus concerts at T-Mobile Center, comedy shows

Two highlights of Kansas City’s 2023-24 theater season will debut on the same night next week.

“To Kill a Mockingbird” will open at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Music Hall to open PNC Broadway in Kansas City’s season, and “What the Constitution Means to Me” opens at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at Kansas City Repertory Theatre’s Copaken Stage.

Both shows were hits on Broadway in the past five years. “To Kill a Mockingbird” stars Emmy winner Richard Thomas (“The Waltons”) as Atticus Finch, and “What the Constitution Means to Me” stars Tony-nominated actress Jennifer Westfeldt.

“To Kill a Mockingbird” also shows at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25-27, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28, 1 and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29. Tickets ($38-$116) and more information at broadwayinkc.com.
