St. Patrick’s Day in KC: Parades, parties, music and more
The 44th annual Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade isn’t the only show in town Thursday, March 17.
The parade, which will start at 11 a.m. at Linwood and Broadway, will attract thousands of partiers to midtown. But celebrants who want to avoid the big crowds on Broadway will have plenty of other options. Among them:
▪ Attend a smaller parade in Lawrence or Leavenworth.
▪ Listen to bagpipers at Paddy O’Quigley’s and O’Neill’s.
▪ Enjoy car bomb pancakes with Guinness-infused syrup at Rhythm & Booze.
▪ Take in a burlesque and variety Show at Squirrely’s.
▪ Visit the Power & Light District, where a free concert will feature X Ambassadors.
▪ Watch the NCAA basketball tournament while drinking green beer.
