Kendall Jenner's Transparent Outfit Ranked Among 'Best Met Gala Dresses of All Time'

Kendall Jenner stole the spotlight when she stepped onto the iconic Met Gala red carpet at the 2026 event, wearing a scene-stealing look.

On Monday, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City lit up with dazzling stars as celebrities, sports figures, fashion key players and influential creatives gathered for "fashion's biggest night out."

With this year's theme, "Costume Art," the red carpet was filled with guests offering their own interpretations of the concept or, as many embraced it, proving that "fashion is art."

From structural, vibrant ensembles to Grecian-inspired gowns and unexpected looks on the red carpet, the evening was definitely a visual spectacle, just as the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star brought to life during the ceremony.

Kendall Jenner's Met Gala look featured a custom design by Zac Posen, the Executive Vice President and Creative Director of Gap Inc.

Inspired by the famous Winged Victory of Samothrace, a 2nd-century BC Greek sculpture in the Louvre, the 30-year-old model stunned in a cream-colored, floor-length gown made from tea-dyed liquid jersey, organza and satin-faced chiffon to imitate the statue's "wet drapery" effect.

Moreover, the look featured provocative faux nipple detailing, an unexpected twist that pushed the boundaries of red carpet fashion.

The socialite's recent ensemble at the ceremony was not the first time that she captivated the crowd and the media with her bold fashion choices.

In 2021, the runway model also earned a spot on Harper's Bazaar's "Best Met Gala Dresses of All Time" list.

Now considered one of her most iconic looks, Kendall Jenner arrived wearing a custom creation by Matthew M. Williams for Givenchy.

The "naked dress" was a tribute to Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn from her film My Fair Lady.

"I love Audrey, so we really wanted to take a special moment of hers and make it our own," the reality star told Vogue at the event. "And I feel like he did an amazing job. She wore Givenchy all the time."

Her body-hugging mermaid silhouette showcased a fully embellished sheer design and a floor-grazing train, a modern take on Hepburn's Givenchy gown as Eliza Doolittle.

The embellishments reportedly took over 2,500 hours of hand-beading to complete, brought to life by a team of 30 skilled artisans.
