'90s Rock Band Makes Announcement Amid Exclusive Collaboration
After being recognized as one of the defining post-punk rock bands in the early 1980s and reaching commercial success in the 1990s, The Cure continues to evolve as a legendary force in music up to this day.
From timeless hits like "Just Like Heaven" and "Friday I'm In Love," the iconic British rock band delivered a surprise treat to the public, especially to longtime fans and collectors alike.
As they continue to step back into the spotlight, The Cure announced the re-release of their Greatest Hits album on limited-edition vinyl, which will be available on April 18. This includes "A Forest," "The Lovecats," "Inbetween Days," "Close To Me" and the timeless song "Friday I'm In Love".
Released in 2001, it is a comprehensive 18-track compilation of the band's notable hits throughout their career.
In addition to this, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band's Acoustic Hits album features their unplugged, acoustic versions of the same 18 songs.
This initiative will support the nonprofit organization War Child in the U.K. in its mission to ensure a "safe future for every child affected by war."

In addition to their upcoming limited-edition vinyl release, The Cure is set to rock the stage in Lithuania and Estonia, marking their long-awaited debut in both countries this summer.
Formed in 1976 in Crawley, West Sussex, The Cure, whose original lineup includes Robert Smith on vocals and guitar, Michael Dempsey on bass and Lol Tolhurst on drums, later adding Porl Thompson on guitar, are considered pioneers of gothic rock and alternative rock music.
Following their success in the ‘80s and ‘90s, the band's lineup changes have happened across decades, with members coming and going. This includes the departure of longtime keyboardist Roger O'Donnell and late guitarist Perry Bamonte.
Currently, The Cure's lineup comprises Smith, Simon Gallup, Roger O'Donnell, Jason Cooper and Reeves Gabrels, making the frontman the only constant original member.
