Hilary Duff’s Tour Rider Includes a Jar of Pickles, String Cheese and Sour Patch Kids

Hilary Duff shared her full tour rider in a New York Times cooking video on April 6, and the list reads less like a celebrity demand sheet and more like a grocery haul for a laid-back weekend at home.

Her rider includes chips and salsa, a jar of dill pickles, string cheese, a veggie tray, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Watermelon Sour Patch Kids, wine, lemon Spindrift, Diet Coke, water and Chomps meat sticks.

“My rider is so boring right now, I have to change things around,” Duff said in the video. “I’m used to making the snacks, and then someone’s like, ‘What do I want?’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t know what I want!’ It’s so weird to think like that, I think, as a mom.”

TikTok Reacts to Hilary Duff’s Snack List

A clip from the video was shared on TikTok, where commenters embraced her low-key choices.

“This list is…perfect,” one person wrote. Another said, “A girl after my own heart.”

The Chomps reference resonated with parents in particular. “We also say meat sticks! It’s the only way to address them,” one commenter agreed. Duff had mentioned her own kids’ name for the snack: “My kids call them meat sticks I’m like we got to change this.”

Duff embarked on her Small Rooms, Big Nerves tour in January 2026 in London. She also announced the Lucky Me Tour, set to kick off in June 2026.

What Hilary Duff Cooks at Home for Her Family

Off the road, Duff is the primary cook for her family, which includes husband Matthew Koma and kids Luca, Banks, Mae and Townes.

“I’m the cook in my house, although my kids say that my husband makes better avocado toast, and I’m so offended by that,” she said.

So, how do their avocado toast recipes differ?

“I like to put dill on my avocado toast, and lemon and chia seeds, so there’s texture, and they’re probably repulsed by that,” Duff noted. “His is straight up basic, lemon, salt. And he mashes it to all hell. Really dogging that guy. I’m appreciative when he makes it, and I don’t have to!”

The First Meal That Sealed the Deal for Hilary Duff and Her Husband

Duff also shared the first thing she ever cooked for Koma.

“I used to make overnight oats for him, for the week. And I would make all kinds of crazy concoctions in little cute jars and label them with tape. And I think he was like: ‘This is a good girl. We’re gonna try to keep her around.’ He’s also lactose intolerant, so that’s been a hard thing for me to swallow through our relationship. I have to go on my cheese journeys alone or with a friend,” she said.

What Meals Are on Rotation at Home?

For everyday meals, Duff keeps things simple.

“We do a lot of taco bowls. I’ve recently gotten into making enchiladas with my son. It’s so easy, and it’s really fun. And I just love that he’ll hang out with me and do something in the kitchen. I aspire to cook more in the coming years, but right now, I have a lot of kids with a lot of opinions,” she said.

Duff revealed her kids aren’t super fussy when it comes to food, but they know what they like.

“I wouldn’t say they’re picky eaters, but this one doesn’t like this thing, and this one kinda likes this thing. I just can’t get too advanced with the meals.”
