Nathan Darrow, the 1994 Shawnee Mission North High School graduate who has made a name for himself with multiple TV roles, will star in the Music Theater Heritage’s production of “A Chorus Line” Aug. 10-27.

MTH Artistic Director Tim Scott announced Monday that Darrow will play the choreographer Zach in the iconic musical at the MTH Theater at Crown Center. The MTH release indicated this will be Darrow’s professional musical theater debut, although he has appeared frequently on local stages.

He starred in the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival’s production of “Hamlet” in 2017 and in Kansas City Repertory Theatre’s “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” in 2019.

On TV, Darrow played the villain Mr. Freeze on “Gotham” and presidential bodyguard Edward Meechum on “House of Cards,” also appearing in “Billions” and “Wizard of Lies.”

“I love working in Kansas City,” Darrow said in the release. “I’m really happy to be doing this musical, which is also a great American play.”
