‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 trailer sets up Richmond match against turncoat Nate

Nate and Rupert, no doubt plotting something nefarious.

By all accounts, the third season of “Ted Lasso” will mark the end of the hit television show.

That is, unless someone changes their mind.

When Season 2 ended, we saw former Richmond assistant coach Nate Shelley seemingly burn bridges with Ted Lasso, played by Shawnee Mission West graduate Jason Sudeikis.

Nate took the head coaching job with West Ham United F.C., which is owned by Rebecca’s ex-husband, Rupert. That sets up potential West Ham-Richmond matches in the show, and we see the rivalry is real in the Season 3 trailer, which was released Monday by Apple+.

It’s not all angst as the trailer shows Ted being joined by his son in one scene and in another the Richmond players prepare to take the field with a pregame huddle that ends with, “I love you guys so very much.”

Season 3 starts on March 15, and this full trailer should get fans ready for the Emmy-award winning show.
