NPR is changing its lineup of anchors for the flagship newsmagazine “All Things Considered,” adding two new hosts to the evening drive-time show.

London correspondent Ari Shapiro and national correspondent Kelly McEvers will be the new evening hosts, joining longtime anchor Robert Siegel and Audie Cornish.

Michel Martin, a veteran of radio, print and TV reporting, will be the new weekend host.

NPR announced the changes to the staff Thursday morning.

McEvers, a veteran foreign correspondent, will be based in Los Angeles, giving the show a presence on both coasts. Shapiro will be based in Washington with Siegel, Cornish and Martin. The new format begins in September.

“All Things Considered” draws 12 million listeners weekly.

Melissa Block, who anchored the show for 12 years, is stepping down in August.
