Get in the KC Halloween spirit: West Bottoms haunted houses, pumpkin picking begin
Halloween season will shift into high gear this weekend.
The renowned West Bottoms haunted houses, The Beast and Edge of Hell, will open at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 16. They will run Fridays and Saturdays (plus Oct. 31) through Nov. 4. The third West Bottoms haunted house, the Macabre, will begin operating at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Entry is $32-$62, with combo tickets $55-$140. More information at fullmoonprod.com.
The Great Pumpkin Fest at Worlds of Fun will open Sept. 17 and run Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 30. Also, Worlds of Fun will offer Halloween Haunt on select nights Sept. 16-Oct. 29. Standard entry to the park is $39.99-$49.99; information at worldsoffun.com/events.
