Last week, we wrote about a study that named Kansas City the worst place to date in the whole country.

It got some of us over at The Star thinking, is it true? Is dating here really that bad?

The study considered the percentage of singles between the ages of 18 and 24, the number of bars and concerts that come to a metropolitan area and other prime locations for young people to socialize, like coffee shops.

All of you out here swiping and trying the new restaurants, or toasting an anniversary at your favorite bar after the apps have long been deleted know the city best, and we want to hear from you.

We want to hear your experiences so we can write some stories about what it’s really like to date here, what the best spots are to impress someone new or where to go if you’re on a budget—and what to avoid.

Do you have a love story that makes you smile just thinking about it, or have you had an experience so bad the group chat still gives you hell?

Is your go-to KC date a picnic on the lawn of the Nelson, or a night of jazz at the Green Lady Lounge?

We want to hear about the classics and your secret spots, and we’ll compile them into some guides to help out other hopeless romantics struggling out here.

And if you have some tips to share, we’d really appreciate that, too. Some of us here at The Star are new to the world of dating in KC and need some help ourselves.

Fill out this form, and help us spread the love.
