This Missouri attraction is on a national list of best theme parks in the country

Branson’s own Silver Dollar City theme park is in the running for a national list of best amusement parks in the country. The historical venue, which is designed to look like an 1880’s mining town, currently sits at the top of a leaderboard curated by USA Today.

Readers are invited to vote for their favorite amusement park in the county. You can support this Missouri attraction here.

Half of the twenty nominees will end up on USA Today’s Readers’ Choice list of the top ten theme parks nationwide. Currently, Silver Dollar City has more votes than well-known favorites like Disney’s Epcot and Magic Kingdom, Pennsylvania’s Hershey Park and Tennessee’s Dollywood.

Silver Dollar City sits near the state’s southern border, around three and a half hours’ drive from Kansas City. It contains an amusement park, a water park, lodging and cruises on the adjacent Table Rock Lake. The historical theme park also features over 100 craftspeople showcasing historical trades like blacksmithing, leatherwork and candymaking.

Potential visitors to Silver Dollar City can browse ticket prices here. Voting for USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Award closes on Monday, April 25.
