Things to do in Kansas City: ‘Mean Girls’ musical, Journey, Tool, Steve Jobs opera

Tina Fey’s “Mean Girls” is coming to the Music Hall as part of the Broadway in Kansas City Series.

Included in the cast will be 2008 Shawnee Mission West High School graduate Eric Huffman, who plays Damian Hubbard in the touring musical. Huffman appeared in the Broadway Series production of “The Book of Mormon” at the Music Hall in 2016.

Based on the popular 2004 movie comedy about high school students and their rivalries, “Mean Girls” opened on Broadway in 2018 and was nominated for 12 Tony Awards but didn’t win any.

“Mean Girls” will open at 7:30 p.m. March 15 and will run through March 20. Tickets ($36-$82) are available at broadwayinkc.com.\
