Kansas City holiday entertainment: Carols, comedy and the symphony is ‘Home Alone’

The Kansas City Symphony will conclude its offerings for this holiday season with two events at the Kauffman Center.

Broadway star Ashley Brown will join the symphony and chorus for their Christmas Festival, featuring songs of the season, at 7 p.m. Dec. 16, 8 p.m. Dec. 17, 1 and 7 p.m. Dec. 18 and 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 19. Tickets ($35-$105) at tickets.kcsymphony.org/18164.

The symphony will play the movie score while the film is shown on a big screen for “Film + Live Orchestra: ‘Home Alone’” at 7 p.m. Dec. 22-23 and 11 a.m. Dec. 24. Tickets ($65-$125) at tickets.kcsymphony.org/18523.
