Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin

One of the world’s leading chamber orchestras on period instruments, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin appears regularly at venues throughout Europe and internationally. “The Choir of Man”

Don’t come to this show expecting to hear an actual choir. The touring show “The Choir of Man” is a concert set in an Irish pub that features a working bar from which the cast will pull pints and invite audience members to get up close and personal. Nine multitalented blokes will energize the audience with pub tunes, folk, rock, choral and Broadway numbers combined with high-energy dance and live percussion. Johnson County Home and Garden Show

With more than 300 booths to explore and many displays to enjoy, the Johnson County Home and Garden Show is the place for area residents to go for home-related products and services. Bach Aria Soloists, Bach Extravaganza

Prominent Bach scholar Michael Marissen will share his insights on the music and life of Johann Sebastian Bach and guest instrumentalists will join the Bach Aria Soloists for a program of the composer’s vocal and instrumental masterworks. Kansas City Japanese Film Festival

The Heartland Japan Exchange and Teaching Program Alumni Association will present the 10th annual Kansas City Japanese Film Festival, with proceeds benefiting a charity to help schools affected by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. “Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic”

If we need to explain the title of this parody to you, then you probably aren’t a Harry Potter aficionado and might want to consider looking elsewhere for entertainment. “Puffs,” which ran off-Broadway from 2016 through 2019, also resides at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry but comes from the perspective of its least celebrated house, Hufflepuff. “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical”

After playing at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ Family Theater in Washington, D.C., for six weeks, “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical” is touring the nation.
