He started doing stand-up comedy in 1982, appeared in his first movie (“Beverly Hills Cop”) in 1984 and has been a comic stalwart ever since. Wayans was fired after less than one season as a featured player on “Saturday Night Live,” but that turned into a blessing because he went on to help create the ground-breaking “In Living Color” and later starred in “My Wife and Kids.” 816-759-5233. Tickets are $40-$50 through improvkc.com.
