“Sesame Street Live! Make Your Magic”

Störling Dance Theater, “Underground”

Combining ballet and modern dance and featuring choreography by Mona Störling-Enna and Tobin James, “Underground” returns to the stage in Kansas City for the 13th consecutive year. Kansas City Symphony, “Ax Performs Beethoven”

Emanuel Ax, one of the world’s most heralded pianists, will help the Kansas City Symphony continue its Celebration of Isaac Stern, who was a friend of Ax’s and the father of symphony conductor Michael Stern. The program will include Louis Andriessen’s “The Nine Symphonies of Beethoven” and Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto as well as Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra. New works from the region’s most talented choreographers will showcase contemporary and modern dance at the 17th annual presentation of “A Modern Night at the Folly.” Audience members will experience a variety of dance styles performed by professionals from across the region. “The Office! A Musical Parody”

If you’re familiar with the inner workings of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Co., chances are you’ll enjoy “The Office! A Musical Parody.” The show is an unauthorized parody of TV’s “The Office,” where Michael, Jim, Pam, Dwight and the rest toiled at Scranton’s third-largest paper company. Currently playing off-Broadway, the musical was written by the same comedy team that brought the national tour of “Friends! The Musical Parody” to Starlight last year. “Church Basement Ladies”

Cindy Williams, star of the hit 1970s TV show “Laverne & Shirley,” will head the cast for the original “Church Basement Ladies.” The musical comedy, which was first produced at Plymouth Playhouse near Minneapolis and has spawned several sequels, set box office records when it played at New Theatre in 2007. The story follows a group of women at a rural Minnesota church who deal with such challenges as a Christmas dinner, a Hawaiian Easter fundraiser and a July wedding. TEDxKC: Invisible
