It may be too early to declare a song of the summer, but now there's definitely a color: pink.
KCK native Janelle Monae dropped a new video Tuesday for her single, "PYNK."
And it's all woman.
“‘Pynk’ is a brash celebration of creation. self love. sexuality and p***y power!" the video's description says. "PYNK is the color that unites us all, for pink is the color found in the deepest and darkest nooks and crannies of humans everywhere ..."
"Just when Drake thought he’d written the #GirlPower anthem of the season, here comes Janelle Monae to remind us of the power of the ... pynk," writes The Glow Up.
Uh, huh. Uh, huh. Uh, huh.
But let's talk fashion.
The opening sequence features Monae wearing a pair of pink, ruffled, oversized pants that look like female genitalia.
Yup, she's wearing p***y pants.
We've never seen another music video cause people to cry out: "I want those vagina pants."
"Forget p***yhats," writes Slate. "This is way better."
This is the third song and video from Monae's third solo album, "Dirty Computer," set to debut April 27. It will be her first studio album since 2013’s "Electric Lady."
Like "Django Jane," released in February, "PYNK" pays glowing homage to all things female, pink and powerful.
A look at some of the lyrics: "Pink like the secrets you hide, maybe/Pink like the lid of your eye, baby/Pink is where all of it starts, crazy/Pink like the holes of your heart."
"'PYNK,' which features the electro-pop musician Grimes, is a Swiftian boppy video jammed with lady-bit imagery, including up-close shots of oysters," writes The New York Post.
"It’s also got plenty of joyful dancing and poolside revelry, as any self-respecting summer jam should."
Fans looking for some confirmation of Monae's rumored relationship with "Westworld" actress Tessa Thompson will get a big clue when Thompson pokes her head between Monae's pink-ruffled legs — "with a Cheshire cat grin," Vox carefully notes — and pops up elsewhere in the video.
